The coyote is a living, breathing allegory of Want. He is always hungry. He is always poor, out of luck and friendless. The meanest creatures despise him and even the flea would desert him for a velocipede.

The lion test is screwed up.

Question 2. How does a mountain lion kill its prey? Correct Answer: By jumping on its back with its front legs an chasing it until it dies from exhaustion

A lion isn't going to run along side of a mule deer on it's back legs waiting for it to die of exhaustion .

Question 8. Mountain Lions sometimes leave unfinished carcasses for other animals. Correct Answer: False

Then it goes on to say that a lion will cover and leave a carcass. Pick one, you can't have it both ways, either they leave it or they don't. And if they leave it, something else is going to eat on it as well.

Question 10. How do mountain lions mark their territories ?
Your Answer: By making scrapes-kicking up piles of dirt with
Correct Answer: By urinating on trees

Then they explain:

Adult lions stakes their territory by marking the edge of their home range. To do this, a cougar will scrape together small piles of leaves, pine needles and twigs and urinate on them. These "scrapes" serve as boundary markers.

The fox test had a couple of screwy answers too, but I don't feel like going back to look them up.

90% Bob
80% Fox

and TB thanks for making me feel better I got a 50% on the lion questions and was cornfused on a few of those. Until it dies of exaustion? I thought when they slowed down the lion went for the neck, and on Discovery [Big Grin] I never seen a lion hike its leg on a tree.
