Having spent a lifetime going over, under & thru 'bobbed wire' fences with varying degrees of damage to my cloths & self, I was interested when the T-Post Step came out. A vendor at the S.W. Fur Harvesters get-together traded me a picture of Andrew Jackson for one and I got to try it out recently. The thing is slick!!! As I gain confidence in the thing, I can cross a fence and barely break stride.

I recall first seeing one about ten years or more ago. Have never used one, but they sure look to be just the ticket.

Bought one cheap a few years ago when I was in a store and they had them on the half-off rack. My problem is that I never have it with me when I need to cross a fence.LOL I'm sure they work great, but I just can't seem to make myself pack it with me when I have enough crap to lug around. Neat concept for sure.

Yeah, it's a neat device. But, suitable for major highways where they build quality fences. Most of the barbed wire I need to cross, they have sticks and branches for posts. But, for what it is and what it does, I see the value.

Good hunting. LB

I've had one a while and always am hesitant on trusting it not to slip off the post. 1 slip and your cojones would be a shiskabob on that post.

LOL!! Yeah, it's the building confidence part that's most of the learning curve. It sure seems like you could turn yourself into Vlad the Impaler when you're looking down at the top of that post, but the more I use it, the less hesitant I get.
I sewed the case it came in to the outside of my calling bag.

The T-Post step is a great little invention for sure. I keep one in my pack when out in the field. The light weight aluminum makes them real easy to transport, for sure. I heard they had a problem with them and they were off the market for quite a while.
APC's the only one I know of selling them unless you live by a farm supply store, they may have them.
