Okay, this may be a stupid question and I may show my age here... but let me ask.
I heard the term used by a coyote hunter "Turn it up Higgins" the other day. Is this some sort of old school coloquilism or is this a fallout from something our buddy Rich did somewhere down the line and caught on nationwide?

I have not heard that? Maybe refers to some other Higgins?

It comes from the TV show Magnum PI
( I really have no clue, but that was the first thing that came to mind and it sounded good )

Are you sure it wasn't "Baaaaaaaa! Get it up, Higgins"?

The Hawaii 5-O thing was very believable... I figured it was that sort of thing when I heard it but then I got curious about Rich's involvement since it was a coyote hunter that said it.
Having not watched a lot of predator hunting movies or subscribing to predator hunting magazines I thought maybe I was missing something in todays "predator hunting culture". Perhaps it's a trendy new thing... like bellbottoms... that I totally missed out on and will cost me socially for years to come. LOL.
(P.S. My exclimation point key isn't working... I am stuck ending each phrase with a bland, boring old .)

Yeah, that must be it?
Like Randy Anderson "they always stop, they always do". Or Texas Predator Pursuit starting every sentence with the word, "folks".
Apparently when you "turn up your Higgins", it's more like a state of mind? He's into Zen stuff.
Incidentally, I saw his leasure suit collection, our boy is way ahead of the curve on that revival.....camo.

Rich. If you ever say anything like that about Leonard, and I again. We are going to have a problem. I can't believe you backed him up on it Jay.

Todd. If you don't say "Folks" how is anyone going to know you are talking to them?.

Varmit hunter and Melvin, Take a drink! I dont really care for people to relate the word "folks" to me. Might end up like another coyote videographer with a catchy saying. Nope not for me my friend. Just call me Todd, abada abada Thats all folks! Ah I needed that.

Another thing, we southwestern "folks" display a distinct preference for tequila, & cerveza. (which is beer, for you gringos)
I have not had white lightning since the last time I was in Georgia. Man, does that stuff mess you up quick!
Good hunting. LB
edit: that reminds me, I really dislike most Texan beer like Lone Star and Pearl. Ugh! [ August 29, 2005, 04:14 PM: Message edited by: Leonard ]

"Videographer" is a mighty big word for a Texican. Makes me wonder if you're a full-blood.

Melvin,
Not since Saturday night, my head still hurts.
Joyce sure got a kick out of me trying to unlock the gate when she brought me home. One little sip, and it took me fifteen minutes to uncross my eyes and tell the wife it was time to leave.
I keep swearing that I'll never touch the stuff again, but once a year or so, I forget.
Edit:
Leonard, if Lonestar and Pearl didn't say Made in Texas on they label, they wouldn't even be able to sell that crap there. Sometimes that Texas Pride, goes a little too far. [ August 29, 2005, 08:20 PM: Message edited by: Tim Behle ]
