Cal, You won't the pot stirred. After last night I am ready.
Those of you that have known me for years, know how I feel about Burris scopes. Well after having a custom 6.5 X 284 built. I felt it needed a Nightforce scope to crown this jewel.
I sold one of my Senderos with a Burris Black Diamond on it to cover the $1,500.00 price tag of the NF. As then sun went down my wife set out the black buckets I use for Hog stand ins. As the light faded so did my greate pride in owning a Nightforce. I did not have a Burris Black Diamond laying on my bench for comparison, But a cheap $198.00 Burris fullfield II. As the NF cross hairs faded away I activated the illuminated reticule. Could not see a thing until ten more minutes of darkness set in.
The entire time the little Burris was sitting there with it's crosshair clearly on the bucket ready for launch.
Moral of this story. When you have preached Burris for ten years. Listen to yourself.
This was difficult to write after crying all night.

Don't do that to me Ronnie, I just about had myself convinced to try a NF. Seriously.
On another note, I did buy one of the high end Burris tactical scopes with the illuminated reticle and I absolutely love it. I didn't know if I would care for the size of the 30mm but I love the extra light and feild of view. I had it on my AR, but liked it well enough to put it on my full time coyote rifle.

That's always been a total mystery, to me? What is it about NightForce? They are big and heavy and cost a lot of money.
Good hunting. LB

Cal, If I could afford it I would send you this SOB, but I had to get rid of some good stuff to get it.Talk about a bummer, I think I whimpered all night. Glad to hear that about the tactical. I am going to call Larry at Burris Monday about one.
Leonard, I just thought Leupolds were overrated. Paris and NF must have the same PR people. You are so right about big, heavy, and expensive.
