So, who is this? Anybody we know?

Good hunting. LB

PS, as far as referals from other sites, DAA is in first place by a wide margin, second is almost a tie between Varmint Als and Cold nosed. Thank you, all.

Leonard, I don’t know who that might be, and my half hearted attempt to find out came up blank.

It is an honor to be in the top three with those two guys. (I’m not worthy) I can see from my numbers that the page with a link to this house is usually in the top 4-6 entry pages each month. That makes me believe that some have the page bookmarked and use it to navigate around, because the search strings used in search engines don’t seem like they would point to that page but who knows. [Confused]

It is a two-way street though, HM is ALWAYS in the top 3 referring sites if I post a JPG here hosted on coldnosed that month or not. Some of the sites that have had bigger referral numbers in the past I have an avatar hosted on coldnosed that will show up as a referral each time that avatar is requested, that skews the numbers against HM if I post there during the month, or if someone is digging in the old stuff.

Thank you for providing this place for this group of knowledgeable members, each one has taught me something if they realize it or not.

Well, thanks again, Bryan. I do appreciate your support.

As far as the above "3 brothers" they just started showing up on my list of the top thirty referal sites, and I don't know who they are?

There are a few others like an Archery site, and I get some traffic from PM and HuntTalk and Coyotes R US, and HuntAmerica, but I don't know how because they don't seem to have anything I could find? It could just be somebody posting a link in a message?

Last month was the heaviest yet, over 330,000 hits.

Good hunting. LB

edit: well, I do know about HuntAmerica because I have HM as my homepage in my profile.

Yea, I have found the same kind of thing. Links sent in e-mails and PM’s are tough to search out. It seems to me they will not show up unless the person who it is sent to uses it multiple times or it is early in the month.

Man a third of a million hits in a month! That is smoking the numbers that I see at coldnosed. Too cool!

What is the most interesting search string you have seen? (if you have access to that) I would bet given the dynamics of a message board there could be some wild ones. If I remember correctly we picked up a member after he did a search on immigration? Joe?

I was surprised to see names of people who had signed my guest book when I got married popping up in search strings. I have seen yours a handful of times, a few times alone and once with huntmasters attached. “Rich Higgins custom calls” has popped up once too. From what I have seen a lot more people punch “coyote hunting in PA” than “coyote hunting in UT” into search engines.

I don't pay a lot of attention to search words or phrases, but I did look just now, for the heck of it. The oddest one, if you ask me? "mountain".

Good hunting. LB

If I keep bumping it, maybe 3 brothers will eventually see it? I am just curious, not a big deal.
