Sheri sent these. Check out the bobcat. May be the source of mountain lion reports in Pa.

I bet that bobcat has tripped up a few false reports before. As for the deer, how interesting is that? I've never seen such a wide discrepency in body size as there is there.

These were both taken on our farm with my sister-in-laws Cuddeback. We have seen that Bobcat for about three years now, here and there. The thing that gets me is his coloring. The only place he has any spots is on the inside of his front legs. We feed him well, apparently... lol
Yup, those bucks still are giving me a chuckle. Can you believe that lil guy is a 4 point??!!?? And his partner in crime or dine is a 8 point. I just thought you would all like to see these pics.
Thanks Rich for posting them for me!

Great pic of the cat Crow. Does favor a mountain lion somewhat in body shape and stature, but the tail and leg markings don't lie.
Those trail cams seem great. Gotta get one someday.

I see those flat cats put on pastureland more often than their spotted brothers in the timbers and creeks. They also tend to get reported as mountain lions more often, too. It's easy to see how someone hunting pheasants would bump a cat like that and only see it fleetingly run through the tallgrass ahead of them, maybe for a second or two, and the way a 'cat can slither this way and that would almost make you see that long tail. Almost.
