This one tells me that I'm a bad guy because I can't stop talking about Higgins.

This one says all the important people out there in cyber space generally approved of the high road I was taking.

This high road was that I ignored what he was saying.

Never mind that I was highly offended from the get go. Also never mind that I didn't engage him regarding his "facts".

So, after several days and a number of long winded posts by him, practically taking over the board, now I'm told that I can't stop talking about it and Now that I have addressed the situation, I am the bad guy?

Okay, if so, I can live with that convoluted thinking. I will be the bad guy who rejected his bullshit and questioned his motives. Fine.

I don't know what is going on at predator professionals? I assume that I am being pilloried and vilified, and if not, that's swell. The thing is, I don't have an account over there and don't visit, so I don't know?

I will take the advice to a point, bearing in mind that I always comment on topical stuff, so I fail to see how this is very different?

Anyway, please give me a break. FOR ONCE. I am not a bad guy simply because I can't forgive a betrayal by a friend. That's just the way I am.

He was very mistaken thinking that what he has done would melt my pea pickin' heart and forgive all transgressions, real and imagined. He wasted his time and trespassed without permission.

I was and remain very offended that he would use my house for his purpose, whatever it was? I am well within my rights to comment without suffering his cute retorts. I'm pretty much over it though. We can move on.

To the person that sent the email. I don't think you should remain on Huntmasters and participate, if you are, in fact an active member? I think predator professionals would be a much better fit.

Maybe I don't know enough of your back ground with Rich H, but I don't see anything that would brake up a real friendship. life is short and good friends always find a way to stay friends even if one has to be a bigger friend.

I got an anonymous email from somebody claiming to represent cmiddleton, GT and R Higgins and requesting that I delete all reference to those individuals from Huntmasters, or else.

So, I "really" got it, but believe it to be phony, for several reasons and intend ignore it. If it was authentic, I would think it would arrive via registered mail, not an untraceable email account.

I had a dear friend who for a variety of reasons started acting against her own long-term best interests. I had to betray her in order to save her from herself. I didn't do it 'to' her...I did it 'for' her. She now hates me, in every sense of that word. And every day, every fucking day, I miss her and her husband, who was also a dear friend of mine. I miss them beyond belief. In my mind I replay all the good times we all had, and there was a bunch. If I could make things right between us, I would. But I can't. Because she hates me that much.

So I would say to you, Leonard, not because I have any dogs in this fight, because I don't know diddly shit what went on between you and Higgins, I don't know either of you personally, but I would say this...life is too short to go through it hating someone or carrying a grudge. It gives you a black heart. Forgiveness sets you free. Maybe Higgins did do you wrong, but you still have the power to forgive, to attribute his actions to human frailty and poor judgement and move on. But nobody can make that choice for you. It's yours to make, either way you prefer.

I'm not meanin' to get all up in your business, and if what I have said offends you, then I apologize. I'm just waxin' philosophical...

There was a guy at work. He got involved with a friend of mine, leading to, how shall I say...serious difficulties. I carried a black heart for him. Every time one of us was in a room and the other walked in, you could feel the tension..it was palpable. If his name came up in a group conversation, I would have to get up and leave because I was so angry with him. But then a friend (the one who hates me now, ironically) showed me another way, and one day while working overtime right after Christmas I typed him on his car computer and asked him how he was and if he had a good holiday. I forgave him. The weight of the world was lifted off of my shoulders..and his as well. He told my friend how relieved he was that things were better between us and that whenever he saw me before the air would be so thick he couldn't stand it.

We only live once, and each day is precious and irreplaceable and should be lived and enjoyed to the utmost. There just isn't enough time in this life to hate and carry a black heart.

We used to be very close, (I thought?) and suddenly there were certain actions that made it very clear to me that we were not friends, any longer. Kind of a shock, but believe me, there is no black heart involved, at least on my part.

But, I will not allow a second chance, circumstances being what they were, and such. And yet I accept and acknowledge that life is, indeed, too short. It's regrettable and unrepairable.

There are things, certain actions, and spoken words that have consequences. This situation doesn't involve misunderstandings. These actions were deliberate, you can't just lamely brush them off, and you sure as hell wouldn't create a public spectacle and with every detail make yourself look pure of heart and reasonable, and the other guy bitter and mistaken. Fuck that.

But, another thing. I sure as hell considered this to be a personal matter and completely inappropriate for the Board. Besides everything else, what he did coming in here, I found to be very offensive and it embarrassed me. Wrong move, Amigo.

So, we all need to get over it. I promise, I'm not all broken up about it, it is without a doubt, another of life's lessons learned.

I don't know the deal nor do I want to know but I didn't see the same thing you're describing here. I certainly did not see anything to be embarrassed about.

The people that post jusst to inflame the situation and actually enjoy the escallation of this type of thing. Its not fun when you have friends that are at odds. I dont like it. but life is full of thingss I dont like. I do feel lifes to short and Del made a good point it just reminded me of me.
