Remember you gave Piet a wooden caller (metal closed reed)? Well, I have been borrowing that off him since the day you left. I used it a lot, but now the reed is beginning to crack, and I have to blow softly in it or the sound just stops and it starts hissing. (The diaphragm you gave me is still running strong, but I look well after it.) I have a client coming out to hunt with me soon, and I want him to bring me that spare part. Which type of caller is it and where does he buy that spare?

That was a genuine cocobolo Baby Rhino, made by Jay Nistetter, and the reed was a cottontail, standard JC Products, a very universal reed available from a lot of places. If client can't locate one, I probably have a couple laying around.
How have you been, buddy? I have had a couple people ask me for referals, the last one had quite a list of questions.
Good hunting. LB

Thanx man (donkey mon ). That answers the question in full. My hunting client lives in New York State. I'll ask him if he can buy it in a shop near his home. If not, we'll work a way (farmer makes a plan) whereby he gets it (I want 2) from above mentioned sources. I'll fix up with him when he gets here. (I am tempted to order some of that urine you left me, since I have little left, but that I can order by mail, I suppose.)
To answer your question, American predator hunters (my focus market) are not easily persuaded to come and hunt in Africa. They seem content with their coyotes. But I have a few hot prospects, and can only take 2 per year in any way, with my limited leave. I have turned down a few non-predator hunters, rather upmarket trophy collectors (does this sound arrogant?) elk boys who are clearly not going to be fun to guide. (Eg. wants to know the pressure of the hot-water system on the ranch in pds/#)
We'll talk again. Lochi.

Lochi, e-mail me his home address when the time approaches for his flight and I will send him a couple diaphrams to hand carry. That beats what I have seen of the mail system between here and ZA.

That is truly appreciated Leonard, so much easier that way. I can manage that diaphram quite well, plus it is hands free for daytime use when you don't want to wave your hands around like a windmill and rather get ready to shoot. Shall do.
