First post here also, thought I'd start out with a bang,,LOL

Went for a little circle Sunday morning trying to find something to shoot since deer season was sure a disappointment.

First stand was a dud. Drove over to me great-grandparents place and set up over a little draw thats so thick you can't walk thru it. Grass (weeds) are still 2 foot tall so I had to set my mini-supreme on my turkey stool to get it over the top of them, and I just backed up into a bush and stood there.

Cranked up the bunny distress on my Foxpro and waited, 20 minutes passed and nothing showed but I didn't have anything else to do so I just keep waiting.

I had been calling for a minute or two then turning it off for a little bit but at the 30 minute mark a bunch of crows start raising cain down in the draw so I just let it keep playing this time. Bout 3 minutes later this thing pops his head up, ABOUT 10 YARDS FROM ME!!! I never saw it coming in till it was right there. He had traveled probably 40 yrds across the field in front of me to get to me.

Weighed in at 23lbs, 55 grain soft point, pencil size entrance and exit.

Just 19 more and I'm done for cat season.

Thanks guys! Glad to be here.

The quarter was for my grandpa, thats the only thing I could find to show him how big his feet were. He always told me a bobcats paw was tiny, I had to show him different [Wink]
