Just before dark tonight I went down the road about a quarter mile on the neighbors farm to do some calling. I hung up the caller in a small brushpile and sat down about 60 yards upwind. I started the javalina demise playing and almost immediately heard leaves rattling on a cedar and blackjack oak covered hill to my left. To my surprise a nice bobcat came out about 60 yards in front of me and headed straight for the brushpile. He went right under the caller and gave no indication that he even noticed any human scent. Then after about a minute or so he came slinking across the field again and went back in the brush in the same spot. He looked to be in the 25-27 pound class and was in excellent shape. I promised my neighbor I wouldnt shoot any cats, so he got a get out of jail free card. Nice experience and nice hunt though. The javalina demise sound is a cool sound if you want something different on the Foxpro.

Cool!!!
Cats are always neat to have respond to the call. This type of thing is one of the reasons why I started carrying my camera in my calling bag. Had a big RedTail Hawk land about 10 yards away & WALK/HOP up to the caller next to me. Awesome photo-op & the camera was in the truck.
