Two of the three packs that visit our house have shown up at the same time several nights in the last two weeks and they group-yip howl or actually yowl-yip-yodel-gargle-laugh-little howling surrounding our house for long periods at night. They did this when Brent stayed with us and he joined in one night. Tonight they were right up against the back wall, so many and so loud that my dogs came outside with me but did not approach the wall, which they usually do. I recorded these great vocalizations with my parabolic remote receiver but will not be able to use the recording for any purpose because the neighbors dog was going berserk right along with them and is as loud as they are. Still it was very cool to hear 8 or 9 coyotes on three sides of the house so loud that you could hear them from every room in the house.

Oh yeah, bet Debbie was thrilled to death!

I heard that is what they do, the night before they plan on eating the occupants. Sleep with one eye open, amigo.

Good hunting. LB

Rich,

I wonder if Obi Wan, and Yoda, had similar problems. hahaha

Wife said that we had the same scenario going on last night, except no wall. It had her looking for the gun. I was looking at some new ground, and didn't get to hear it all, but I have been priveledged to have heard it before. They came through the other night and ran under the service light. The male(largest one, assumed) stopped and looked ,through the window, right at me as I was easing off the couch. He ducked and ran, not all that amazing, but I was hoping that I could get some photos/ shot off.
