Hey Loco..did I say it right?
Took Doug up to the valley of the Fourteeners.
Left Saturday, got there around midday. Had a bite to eat and scouted out the east side till dark.
Got up sunday. Cold as hell but clear. No cats but called in three dogs but only killed one that doug nailed . Probably would have had better luck if that ******* MULE hadn't gotten his truck high centered midday
Much energy expenditure on that one
Saw couple hundred elk and no idea how many mulies...a gazillion maybe?? hahhah
Managed to show him some Bighorns too and just all around beautiful country.
Oh yea...we are experts at this...calling in Blue jays,California jays,Camp robbers and magpies
You could always tell who was calling by the tree they sat under.
Dense tightass country PJ rimrock STEEP country.
Great time...brain cells stomped..lots of laughs.
Doug was the picture taker . As soon as he gets me some pics I'll post em.
Especially of my stuck ass truck. You'll get a laugh ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

Yuhoo, Loco!
Well, you tried, MULE? He was on the board last night, made at least one post, and apparently didn't see yours?
PS my Spanglish translation would be:
"Cat Hunting with my friend, Doug"
Good hunting. LB

EEEEeeee, jews guyz would reeeeelly make a coupla gooood Mexicans! Pretty good translation fellas.
Is Doug still in town? I'd love to meet that knuckle head! Did you guys hunt near Buenie?
I've only targeted cats specifically 2 times. Once was just to the East of Buena Vista. Cool area with lots of rocks, trees, and open area all at the same time. I know a guy that's shot two bobcats just driving around and spotting them like we might do to coyotes on the Eastern Plains. We were muy luckless both times. I even tried out that really cool twirlly feather decoy thing-a-ma-whooper. I've forgotten what its really called.
How did you do out East a couple weekends ago? [ February 23, 2006, 09:58 AM: Message edited by: Locohead ]
