I went out early this morning before the wind got up. First set I thought was going to be a dry run. I'm singing a tune on Krusty's call a little over 20 minutes and this big dog (bottom yote) steps out of some tall grass. I notice he is walking funny. As he clears the grass I dust him with the Swift. I go immediately to the Tally Ho and start giving some god awful tunes of pain. I see a yote step out of some tall grass to my right and starting to go into the pasture. I lip sqweek him to stop and take the broadside shot. I lasered the shot at 259 yards and the big yote at 63. Only yotes I called in all morning. After these two were taken the wind and temp really kicked up. The big dog had been having a rough life. Not only was he missing part of his right hind leg but had fresh cuts and scars on his face. Many battles for this old guy. The bottom two yotes were what was taken today, the other two were part of a trio last Thursday.
