I shot a couple of coyotes today but one of them is an old timer. Any ideas on the age of this coyote. It was getting dark when I took the photos but I can take some better ones of the coyotes teeth tomarrow when I get it skinned out. If the one Rich shot was 7 this one would have to be 14 LOL.

Quinton, I can't see enough of the anterior incisors to make a guess. But if you pull one of the lower canines and send it to me I'll tell exactly how old it is.

That coyote has been around the block a couple times.

Rich,
If I pull one of my wifes teeth, could you age her for me also. I'm not sure she always tells me the truth, but if I had the tooth as evidence I could figure out why I get a year older each year, and she seems to skip a few.

Perhaps Q, that coyote was born way before you started killing coyotes [Wink]

Rich, notice how the finger nails and cuticles are hiding behind the animal. [Smile]

i shot about 7 this season that had to be littermates to that one. i felt like i had hit a coyote retirement pasture. between the seven there was only 2 canine teeth. one was so old he stumbled twice comming to the call, now how many
times have you seen a coyote stumble.

Hell, ya'll boys don't know what age is. [Wink] Me and Wally called in a pair other day. One was on crutches and the other was in a wheel chair. [Razz] Got'em both on the run.

Good huntin' and have a great day.
