Hi My Buddy Floyd and I went out calling on Nov. 8. This picture is the result of our days hunt. We where using the kitchen sink approach. Did start most stands with a series of howls that where intended to indicate the presense of a young coyote.

When you are use to a handful, and see a truck load the number doesn't matter.
That had to be one more great day.

Ya; it was a great day. made twelve Stands got 4 on one, a triple, and 2 doubles the rest where singles.
Multiple coyotes bring the numbers up in a hurry.

....a lot more than that, Paul. And, there's a red fox hiding in there somewhere, too. Maybe he's in the bottom layer?

Albert don't give away all the secerts LOL!
I use a young challange howl alot in late fall early winter with great results, I make it sound as though those broke up pup's have found the honey hole of food and the adults just don't like that at all. Those adult pairs are fun to watch in these cases and alot come with little hesitation to steal the deal from the young whipper snappers.
I wish our coyote numbers would rebound soon! I would love to have your coyote density's! Good calling! [ November 28, 2007, 02:23 PM: Message edited by: coyote whacker ]

CW,
Young challenge howl, or a lone howl?
Albert,
That's impressive as hell. Gives me something to shoot for. [ November 28, 2007, 02:45 PM: Message edited by: Cdog911 ]

young challange howl, higher pitched than that of an adult. I also use a young lone howl as well, but I really like the challange howl in alot of cases.

Hope you didn't get pulled over by the Weigh Master(if there is such a thing in Canada). Oversized load of coyotes there, congrats! Looks like 19 to me.
