OK, For me I thought this was a pretty cool video. I guess some of you have done this yourself. anyway I enjoyed it. I especially like watching the coyotes nose dive and slide. Not exactly sure if the last coyote was shot with the 220 Swift or the 204Ruger, but it seemed to be a tough rascal.

6 comming in to a call

Hey now that was just cool. That's some pretty decent shooting getting half of them. Usually when I get a group like that to come in we are lucky to get two on the ground.

What Troy said, and that looks like easier dragging than I've ever experienced.

One advantage is the barren terrain. There are places I am familiar with, that at the sound of the first shot, the other five totally disappear behind brush, perhaps never to be seen again?

So, I'm not OVERLY impressed by two guys killing four of six where it's wide open and all of the coyotes are hundreds of yards from any kind of cover.

And, I'm not knocking what they did. Fair shooting, passable but nothing to rave about. How many shots, total?

Good hunting. El Bee (Grumpy old man)

I count 11 shots, but with my ears, who knows? Them boyz needed some evil black rifles for all those follow-up shots.

Leonard I'm going to disagree with you on this one. Open country or not, once that first shot is fired hitting coyotes is not easy. Running coyotes are very difficult to hit. I've killed my share, but I've also missed my share and then some once they start running.

First four coyotes killed with four shots and they were all moving. Some of the best shooting I've seen. There were a couple of spinners, so one of those guys had to be shooting a 223. LOL

Worse than a 223, a 204 Ruger [Smile] and a 220 swift

I didn't count the shots fired on that one cripple.

Maybe a 17 Pred would have done the job better. [Big Grin]

Ursus, I have had the privilege of hunting with some of the finest running game shots you ever saw. One is Tom Moore, a former Naval Aviator and another is Victor Carlson, who does it with one arm tied behind his back; which is code for seventeen caliber. The other is Randy Shaw, The Peanut Butter Man. I saw him kill a coyote one time that was running behind a mountain.

I think what is shown in that video is pretty average, tell you the truth. Meaning; I could probably do it just as well, and maybe I have?

Good hunting. El Bee

PS But, I certainly respect your opinion.

I press the like button on Shaw's comment.

Sometimes I think Leonerd was Fonzy back in the Happy Days. Maybe that's why he has a soft spot for Tim.
