Bill Clinton: 'We Can Rebuild' Haiti
At the risk of sounding like Scrooge at Christmas, bah hum bug!

We are friggin' broke because of all the domestic social programs and now Slick Willy wants us to rebuild Haiti?

Maybe we should match other countries contributions dollar for dollar, no more, no less? Sure as hell everybdy will be sitting back and letting the U.S. taxpayer foot the bill. We need to stop spending money on people and countries that hate us. Nothing against Haiti, but aside humanitarian considerations, has Haiti voted against America's interest at the U.N. as frequently as the Arab block? Or China? Russia? France?

That's a plan. Let the U.N. do it, without our help, the crooks. They have plenty money. Yeah, that's a plan!

At the risk of sounding even more like scrooge or even Leonard;

I was in the 6.8 Northridge quake. It was not pleasant and changed my life in many ways; few for the better. Nobody from Haiti knocked on my door offering any help. Nor do I remember seeing any Haitian license plates driving around the Valley of San Fernando passing out aid.

But that's ok; no favors taken..........no favors owed. We survived.

I then transfered to the Peoples Republic of Olympia Wa. and a few years later went thru the 6.8 Nisqually quake. That one had a very deep epicenter and did far less damage than the Northridge quake. That's probably why nobody from Haiti or anywhere else showed up to help
afterwards.

And again, that's ok; no favors taken.......no favors owed, and again, we survived.

So while "I feel their pain", I'm sorry but we seem to be a little short of cash ourselves right now.

I've heard BO wants to give it to the Haiti government. What a dumb ass idea. By the time every corrupt politicians takes their share out of our 100 million, the people on the streets will be lucky to see 1 million.

You're right. Likely much less than 1 million.
