First of all, I want to thank Brad h.
I received, today, by priority mail, a very handsome call, made from Hawaiian Koa. I believe it is the same one pictured in another thread? http://www.huntmastersbbs.com/cgi-ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=000121
I have seen some very pricy articles made from Koa. This past February, I looked at a rocking chair, in Maui, in Koa, priced at $5,000. Just to give you an idea. Koa can be expensive to work with, I'm sure of that.
Workmanship is excellent, execution is excellent, design is also excellent. This is a very snazzy piece of work.
I hope he gets a bunch of referrals.
Good hunting. LB

I just recieved an {open-reed} Maple distressed call, today from Brad. It is truely BEAUTIFUL. Very easy to use, very loud if needed & excellent sounds. A true craftsman, IMO.

Thanks for the review, Leonard. These are fun to make and getting better every time. I've been thinking a crafty caller could probably make some enticing rodent distress sounds with one of these howlers as well, when excessive volume is necessary anyway. The version 2dogs has is downsized with a thinner reed, geared to make bird/cottontail type sounds. Both are similar to how my antler and buffalo horn calls work. This new project should keep me busy for a long time.

Yes sir. He makes some fine calls. They look too good to sound that great, too. Here are my two Brad H antler calls.

Brad, why don't you put a link in your signature line? I have suggested this on numerous occasions, but few take advantage? It's free advertising for members, can't get a better deal than that. I've turned down a number of requests for banners and other forms of advertising on Huntmasters. We don't have commercial ads, it's all free, every time you post. I think you should do it, if you want to make a buck doing something you enjoy.
Good hunting. LB
edit: just take a look at page 3 of the thread entitled "Use of the word Yote" Seems like they all have a link in the signature line? [ June 14, 2005, 09:20 AM: Message edited by: Leonard ]

I don't have a website yet Leonard. Although I should, and it would make things easier, I haven't been in much of a hurry to get it done. I'll put an e-mail link in soon though.
That picture turned out nice, Joel.

I have a horn tip howler that Brad H. made. He does nice work. Brad, I found another pocket of dumb coyotes the other day. These ones won't quite eat out of your hand. Almost though. Mike

Mike, You 'Nadians are killing me with all these these starving coyotes. I'm happy to see they're being taken care of though.
Do you guys really need calls?

Can it be long before someone turns a 'Distressed Weenie' call??
