Bofire how you geting along with the work on your sound? Some where i read about recorded sounds have a signsture in them. Are the outfits that sale distress sounds incorporate a signature into there sounds. I for one wish this site and every predator calling form had a slot for uploading and shareing sounds.Any way why is it that one sound becomes a go to classic, and another just bites the dust? Well any way good luck with your sound. Talker.

A sound swapping site might be nice, if people would only post their own homemade sounds. But sooner or later, some dumbass would post a copyrighted sound, and the site owner would loose his ass to the lawyers.
Besides, do you really want every dickweed with some vacation time to come into your hunting area, and use your favorite sound?
If you notice, there are a few sounds that nearly every major producer offers for sale. Each has their own version. While most of those versions are mediocre, one of them absolutely kicks butt when it comes to calling predators.
That's one of the things that I love so much about the JS512. You aren't tied in to only one call maker's sounds. Find the version that works best for you, and stick with it. What use is it to have 200 sounds available, if the single best sound is made by a different company and won't play on your caller? [ March 26, 2009, 05:40 AM: Message edited by: Tim Behle ]

I'd look in on a call swap place, and download anything that I really liked, but know that I wouldn't put my best stuff on it, prolly cause I'm stingy. Just like I post all kinds of stuff about calling critters but leave out the really crucial factors that make a huge difference.
As to why one sound gets popular and similar ones don't, it comes down to one or the other of two reasons. Either it works better and actually calls more critters, or more likely, one wannabe hunter hypes it to another wannabe as the "best" sound and it generates its own popularity fad.
I sound cranky this morning. I'd better go have some coffee before I have any business contacts!
Later: Edited out stuff that was off topic. [ March 26, 2009, 05:19 PM: Message edited by: Okanagan ]

I have been working alot lately and have not had much time. I am not in any hurry. Thanks for all the advice, I am a little distracted cause I am going to buy a new Harley tomorrow.!!
