Well, I finally was able to see this video.

It's the first (production) video I ever watched, that I wasn't pissed off by the end of it.
And that's saying a lot. [Smile]

I do have to wonder how much of the behaviors, exhibited by the coyotes in this film, are affected by the urban surroundings in which some/much of it was made?

*I'm reminded of the aggressive, barking, nature of the coyotes in the park behind my house. And how completely different that is from the silent and skittish mountain/coastal coyotes who don't live in town.
Which is different yet, from the "sing-along" nature of the coyotes of the Scablands... but that's probably a subject best left for a discussion of it's own.

The editing was interesting and fun, the mood definitely light, and there was plenty of good footage.

I give it two thumbs sideways, I didn't love it and I didn't hate it.
I was entertained, but I don't think it will change the way I hunt, or my success rate.

Instead of sending it home with Red, to watch it by himself, I might actually watch it a second time.
I've never watched a (production) coyote hunting video a third time.

Not to worry Rich, this is probably the best review of a video I have ever given.

I don't like watching other people do fun stuff, it's not my thing, especially when it's something that I struggle to do well.

Hunting videos and shows are in a category of particular "dislike" for me (because of the "canned" nature of most).

My dog watched much of it, and seemed to enjoy it as much as I did.
Two scenes got more of his attention than any others.
He got all fired up when he saw the bobcat Tyler filmed, get up, flicking it's tail, to walk away.

And he got really pissed off, when the two coyotes in the vacant lot made a run on Mattie, and jumped at the screen to help.
He had fallen in love, when he first saw her "grafitti" marking.
A tough girl dog, that chases coyotes... what more could a pitbull want in a babe?

Even if you're like me, and you don't usually like this kinda thing, you might want to see this one. [Wink]

Krusty, I'm glad you almost liked it and didn't hate it. That puts you square in the middle of the majority of callers that have seen this. [Smile]

ALL coyotes are most greatly influenced by their immediate environment and recent experiences.

If your dog still has the hots for Mattie you can give him her number. 1-800-BADASSS. [Smile]
