I'm big on pockets and compartments. A holdover from my EMS And Fire Dept days when everything had a compartment and I never went anyplace without my jumpkit. I like BDU pants and the like because I have lots of places to stow the different crap I like to have handy when I go hunting. Moreover, I like to have enough pockets that I can carry one item per pocket so I don't have to dig through a bucketload of crap to find the one thing I need. Right pantleg pocket - coyote carrier, left pantleg pocket - extra hood and gloves, left arm pocket - cellphone. A place for everything, everything in its place. OCD and anal retentive all the way!!!

That's why I was so glad to finally find what I consider to be the perfect carrier for the Bandit M-1 caller. I've used fanny packs, and I've carried it in my pantleg pocket. But, I hate fanny packs, and the pantleg pockets on my pants are just small enough that the antenna on the caller unit gets beat up pulling it in and out.

Recently, one of my mail route customers who is an infantryman at Fort Riley had all his gear out and I noted a satchel-type bag he had that he said they use to carry documents and the like. I did some searching and found something like it at Cheaper Than Dirt.

This thing is well built and durable. A large pocket inside opens from the top and accomodates the Bandit M-1 and remote perfectly. I think it would easily house the larger Bandit as well.

 -

Front pockets under the velcroed flap are big enough to tote extra calls and a lanyard, and there is a double pen holder and a cellphone carrier on the strap. In fact, I think it's probably big enough to tote my digital camera in as well.

It carries over the left shoulder and the bag hangs on the right hip, just like my mail satchel, so for me, it's very comfortable to wear.

 -

It fits in such a way that it can be readily and easily accessed from a sitting position with a minimum of movement, it's camo so it doesn't stand out when in the field, the zipper pulls are oversized so they can be managed while wearing gloves, and it's roomy enough that I'll be able to stow calls, hood, gloves and Bandit/ controller in it so when I want to go hunting, I can grab it, my gun, and I'm out the door.

Yeah, yeah, it looks like a "man purse", but it works really, really well and I regard it to be the best carrier I've found to date. And for under $20, including S/H, you can't go wrong.

(The MSRP on the tag that came with it was more than what I paid CTD, including postage.)

The purse that I have is similar to yours CDoo! Mine is Mil surplus in OD green and only has one compartment. It is tattered and worn but does the job. That one you have looks many times more comfortable than the one that I carry.
I hang mine from a tree limb in the bag or just set the bag down and hit the go button. The material isn't very thick so it doesn't muffle the sound much.

Actually, Tom, it kinda does. LOL

Oh, and BTW, does this camo bag make my ass look big? [Eek!]

I fixed the link. Thanks for the heads up.

Still have it. I bought that one to have as a back up and carry it with me on occasion. My Higgy's lying on my desk here in front of me. I keep it under armed guard at all times.
