My Main Predator and Varmint rifle is my Savage 340 chambered in the 222 Rem caliber.I love this rifle and caliber.99.99% of my shots are inside 125 yards and most are around 40 yards.I live and call in NH and there is really not many places whare you will have a long range shot(At least not whare I call). But the 222 has really grown on me and I wish I had got one along time ago.I have been useing this one for about a year and I have only had one runner.(Because I shot him in the lower gut).So I think it is the perfect caliber for us NH guys.I also like the 17 Rem but I have a heck of a time getting supplies for it and the 222 is just too nice of a caliber to keep in the safe.So to get back to my question.Who uses the 222 Rem and how do you like it?

I do. A nice little L46 Sako(clip mod.) that I bought in 1962 after working all summer in the S. Ariz. sun to get the money--$110/scope. This rifle has kill a truck load of coyotes, my biggest bobcat, and one called lion. The bullet I use most of the time is the standard 45gr. Sierra at 3200fps. This will exit a coyote most of the time. This was my first good rifle. Pete

Back in the 60s, I also shot a Sako Vixen in 222, a great little rifle and a tack driver.

I shoot a 222 Rem BDL heavy barrel. I love that gun.
40 gr Barnes VLC 25.5 gr of XMR 2015 Rem 7 1/2 primer.
It is awsome. Just in case you are wondering 25.5 is the max load listed in the Barnes manual. And more suprising it will all fit in the case.

I have a Shilen 222 built on a Rem 600 action. Nice little shooter. Never use it much anymore. It tends to hide in the safe behind 3-223's and 3-Swifts. It dearly loves 3031 powder and Hornady SX 50gr bullets. Think I have shot everything from squirrels to muledeer with that gun. Bob

I have an Anschutz 1740 in 222 and a CZ 527 in 222. Obviously, the Anschutz will outshoot the CZ but it can't kill a coyote any deader... Love them both.
