Howdy All . . .
Might any of you riflemen have any bullet performance experience or data shooting varmints, predators or big game with the 6mm. Hornady 105gr. A-Max???
Any bullet expansion?, breakup?, tumbling? -- OR does this bullet always just run on through, needle hole in -- needle hole out?? ??
Interesting stuff...much thanks ...
From the Big Empty,
Cas

They and the 105 Bergers and the 107 Sierras do require a fast twist custom barrel to stabilize them. I have not heard of any factory barrel that can stabilize them.

Ive been using a friends 243 for a few months its a BDL Varmint using the 105 AMAX I dont know the load just the bullet and the Lapua brass. Have killed 12or13 coyotes and a fox with it. 4 have been facing shots from 110 to 220yds no exits. 4or5 have been from 75 to 190yds smalls exits on perfect lung shots. 4 broadside from 125 to 175yds hit just a touch back and high and they are a mess. The fox wasnt to bad for a 30 yard shot. I dont know the twist on the factory Remington barrel but it shoots well out to 300 it has shot 1 1/4inch groups.
