Sorry Leonard this isn't a varmint gun.

Interesting video just the same. This is why I like Glocks, or at least one of the reasons why.

Why would you put your outdoor faucet right over your basement window well? Oh yeah, the gun shot well, too.

To water the trees growing in it.

I'm convinced, as well. The next time I have an urge to bury a handgun, it'll be a Glock. With pleasure.

Good hunting. LB

I wonder if tim will work better if we bury him for two years? Just a thought.

The dog is pretty cool too.

what a dumb thing to do , bury a perfectly good hand gun .

nice gear there buddy but you had to hand the gun to the instructor to clear it. what's up with all the tactical gear ?

Don't know I was wondering that myself.

They look like some kind of wannabe militia group.

Steve, the guy who buried the gun and even threw one out of an airplane to prove a point, owns ADCO an AR store of sorts. They sell em and work on em along with selling lots of parts.

They also do tactical carbine matches which would explain the gear. You guys ever been to a 3-gun match or anything close? Gotta have something to hold you extra mags.

A militia? Really?

Posted by 4949shooter (Member # 3530) on March 21, 2011, 08:04 PM:

I don't know the people.

I said "wannabe."

Really.

am guessing there 3-gun match is different then ours.

are three gun matches are pistol , rifle, shot gun and I don't think I ever seen anyone in tactical gear ,
there is one guy that shows up that has a mag extension on his shot gun though [Confused]

49 said it right "wannabes"

After a few remarks about stock cartridge holders and spare cartridges on the sling, guess who shows up with plenty of both? Right, Scott Huber, Wiley E himself.

So, I guess if some people want to play dress up, tactical or western, I won't throw any rocks in their direction.

The NEW gentler kinder El Bee

edit: finally! last night I ordered a genuine Krusty Kromer hat, just like those northern boys wear, from Orvis. Seemed like a good deal, too. $23. I'm just another wannabe. I always preferred watch caps, as the Navy calls them, but maybe you can teach an old dog new tricks?

I thought it was a stormy not a krusty, anyway when you get it, I want to see pics with the flaps down and you toting a double barrel 12 gauge.

My mistake. I have said that before, must be senility?

That's a good price. Worth it, too. Nice for us guys lacking natural insulation.

My ex=daughter-in-law frequently called me Elmer Fudd, behind my back. I thought it mildly disrespectful.

Okay, I will post a pic in my new wannabe attire, when it arrives. I think I know someone with a double barreled shotgun?

Good hunting. LB

Now you’re talking LB. You will be style-n and profile-n
Maybe holding jackrabbit by the ears in one hand and the double in the other.
Would make a good Christmas card, or take the place of the coyote pic here on the form. That would be cool.

Edit to say now that I thought about it a couple of carrots would be better than the rabbit.

Take care and good to see you back.
Kelly

At the mall yesterday, I had a chance to buy a Mexican wrestler mask for $20. El Cheapo walked away.

The cap is still 7/10 working days away, I know the suspense will kill grown men, but Ca Cira, Cira.

Of all things to leave in the back of Dave's truck, my ever evolving stool and shooting sticks! Yes, THOSE custom designed sticks I was testing for the first time.

Good hunting. LB

Kelly;
Somewhere, I have a photo of me holding a slingshot & a jackrabbit, with a basket and a bunch of Easter eggs in the background. Tasteless, but it's me.

Leonard, your trusty sticks and stool are going in the mail today. Sorry for not getting them out sooner, but it's been hectic since I got home.

I'm gonna order me one of them hats too. A couple of times, like standing in the back of your rig at night, the wind was cutting through my old watch cap pretty good and I was envying Scott and Brent their toasty looking Krusty Kromer hats.

WAY TO GO, DAVE!

I'm sorry I have you calling it a Krusty Kromer, that just ain't right. Maybe it's because I finally got a copy of Outdoor Life in the mail from Krusty, waiting for me when I got home? I'm going to get all knowed up on bobcats, pretty soon.

I want you to paint your Krusty blaze orange so we don't mix them up when thrown on the floor of the back seat.

Speaking of which....I think I have one too many three cell Mag lights. Anybody missing one?

Good hunting. LB

PS maybe it's a four cell, I didn't look too close? Rephrase the question: did everybody get their shit out of my rig?

At the risk of infringing on Dan's turf, LB, please take note:

Que Sera, Sera

Looking forward to pics of the cool new head gear.

Thanks, Jimanez. I knew it wasn't right but didn't give a shit and the spell check was worthless.

Yes, I imagine the Krusty will be here before too long, just in time for shirtsleeves.

By the way, THANK YOU VERY MUCH, DAVE! My calling stool and sticks arrived this morning. I would like to mention that shipping those sticks from Canada, in the first place cost me twice as much and required two weeks instead of two days!

Well Wookie collects ecallers and apparently, I collect shooting stools and sticks as I have about four of each?

Make mine a .357 revolver. Glock schmock. Any auto loader-schmok.

Posted by Leonard (Member # 2) on March 26, 2011, 08:10 PM:

I could agree with you, snookie. I have some hot 357 loads that would intimidate anyone within moderately close proximity. Fearsome. Sometimes I load five factory equivalent and one of my social loads and hand it to a friend. After the sixth shot they act like the gun just exploded in their hands. Pretty funny, in a sick sort of way.

Yea, cause we all know what a shock it is when you accidentally shoot a 357 round in a shotgun.

You really suck at this troll thing.

We should start a thread where everyone could take a guess at which member has disguised himself as t-bags twin. LOL

Looks like I have me a genuine stalker. Do you get any hunting done in between flapping your gums? How many animals you took this year? I got 162 so far all hand callin and as a lone hunter.

Posted by JD (Member # 768) on March 27, 2011, 01:32 PM:

You're out of your league, I only hunt on Tuesday mornings and sundays after 4pm, I shot 195 this year all called with an inhale voice howl and shot with a long bow at 150 yds on windy days. That's not including the ones I shot out the window of my Prius on the way to the stand. I would've shot more but out of sympathy for other local callers I left a couple for them to shoot at too. I also went to Minnesota and shot 76 more one weekend out the window of my truck but I don't count those since it was so easy and I'm such an amazing caller and great shot with traditional archery equipment.

Posted by BJRemLington7 (Member # 3806) on March 27, 2011, 02:37 PM:

Thats an amazing resume. I am duly impressed. The 162 I shot were only the ones I shot in Wednesday's at exactly 12:00 noon on my lunch. Other minutes of the day the number is mind blowing. Somewhere's about 150 of em I stabbed with a KaBar knife affixed to the end of my Lee Enfield.

Is he exaggerating? That's within the realm of possibilities for an accomplished caller, ain't it? Same for BJ.

Sounds like the only way he gets any coyotes is by beating them over the head with his QWERTY keyboard.

BTW, I suppose you use an AZERTY keyboard, I kinda had you figured for one of them limp wristed french fellers, but you claim to be a speed typing "geenyus" so I would imagine a DVORAK would be better suited at 16 times faster, what else would a geenyus use.

I,m starting to get a bead on you now.

Ya had me believing ya, until you came up with the Prius. I don't believe too many country boys are buying those things? You are pegging the bs meter, JD. Must be contagious?

Good hunting. LB

If you have a handle on who BJ is, email me. I'd like to know.

Are you calling me a liar? If I say I can shoot a coyote out the window of a Prius with a long bow going 60mph after 4pm on a sunday then by Gawd......yea...you got me.

I'm 6'10" and 366 lb's and wobble around like a French Tickler when I'm on a stand. I still bayonet me some 300+ coyotes every month.

Bayonets???? What a wuss!!!!
I just lay on my back in the grass with the caller on my chest. When the coyotee sniffs the caller I spray it in the face with a shot of mist & then chokes 'em to death. It's a more manly way to hunt, don't ye know??

Gee............didn't we discuss this 'First liar doesn't stand a chance' thing already??

I'll sometimes just push an oak tree over and let it land on 'em. It takes practice, patience and brute strength.
