I had to laugh some time back when a mail customer started getting this magazine.
http://www.sheepmagazine.com/
Take it as you will, and I won't even lob the first jab. LMAO I'd pay to see Higgins get one of those bumper stickers! Pay even more to have one magically appear on the backside of the Bronco.
(And no, I do NOT get this magazine.) [ May 27, 2006, 05:36 PM: Message edited by: Cdog911 ]

Leonard,
In Texas sheep are legal at 452 years.
However, the sheep's maximum life span is 9.2 years.
Due to this fact, there's nothing much we can do with them but send ship off to surrounding states, such as Arizona or Kansas, where I'm told the legal age is considerably less.

Good question Leonard. No Circle K's in Texas.
Hmm. Circle K... as in Kansas.

I was looking at the national agricultural statistics and they say Texas is the leading producer of sheep in the USA. I've been in the store with the wife a few times and i don't see much for mutton being sold. My question is what do you do with all those sheep in Texas. Some are killed by foxes and coyotes, what happens to the rest of them. Hmmmm use them for intertainment!

To be honest, they generally refer to themselves as a "wool growers association" various states. Maybe they export mutton, or use it in pet food? When I was in Africa, my PH told me he prefers mutton to beef. Go figure? Internationally, Americans are well known beef eaters.
Good hunting. LB
edit: Trip, maybe I meant 7-11? In Arizona, seems like there is a Circle K on every corner? [ May 28, 2006, 01:47 PM: Message edited by: Leonard ]

Flockmaster? I sure wouldn't want that title. There must be a bunch of them in Texas.Reminds me of something a friend said to me one time...Lets act like a bunch of geese and get the flock out of here.
Question..Who is the flockmaster? The sheep herder or the owner of the sheep?I've never heard this term used before,on a 4 legged animal.
