However, the sheep's maximum life span is 9.2 years. I've been in the store with the wife a few times and i don't see much for mutton being sold. My question is what do you do with all those sheep in Texas. Some are killed by foxes and coyotes, what happens to the rest of them. Maybe they export mutton, or use it in pet food? When I was in Africa, my PH told me he prefers mutton to beef. Go figure? Internationally, Americans are well known beef eaters. Good hunting.
