While posting on another thread today a funny memory came back to me.
On two separate occasions while deer hunting I have had coyotes (one each time) find corn I had put down and eat it.
Rather humorous to watch -- sort of like a dog eating peanut butter. They can only get a kernel or two off the ground at a time (corn spread thin) and really have to work to chew it up.
Anyone else ever seen this?

I have watched them mill through cow pies, picking out the undigested corn in amongst the cows.

They eat corn here all the time. I have seen them eat right out of farmers feeders, its also very common here in scat.
