I just got to watch three of the episodes of this tv show on DVD. Man, I am so disappointed that my satelite service doesn't carry the Sportsman's Channel. I was truly impressed with everything about the show. Great footage of coyotes, Les is very comfortable with coyotes in close and he handled them well. He let them approach closely and display for the camera for extended periods before he made extremely well placed shots that just blew them stiff, no spinning, no running. I met Les at the St Francis event a couple of years ago and he is as natural and good natured on camera as he was in private. He is very comfortable in front of the camera and talks to it as he would to a friend. There was no sense of ego or self consciousness on camera. The enthusiasm of a passionate coyote caller was evident as Les explained his setup and techniques. This is a show that deserves the support of all coyote callers. It is extremely entertaining and Les is a good host and spokesman, very likeable. Les said that his goal is to call coyotes in all 48 states. He has mastered the open country calling ( he doubled on a pair that had split, the male threat bark/howling 74 yards in front and the female around in back of the hill, downwind, barking at him. His understanding of their behavior in that country let him double where few others could have)so it will be fascinating to see his techniques adapt to other terrain and cover. Hopefully all of the episodes will be available on DVD for those of us that don't get that channel.

I catch it about every week. Good show, good stuff. Sad thing is, I heard it was moving to some other channel. Sucks for me, good for others...

I never watch anything on TV, so this is the first I've ever heard of it. If you are giving it such high marks though Rich, I reckon I better make my Wife or my Son figure out whether we get it or not. If we do, I'll get them to start recording it for me so I can start watching.
