It never fails. The same old question keeps popping up time and again: What's the best magazine for predator hunting available? The answer is simple : Predator Hunting magazine. And this year's issues are on newsstands now! In fact, the Fall '06 issue is available now by calling 1.800.942.0673, item #PHF06. Cost is only $7, postpaid.

Here's the cover of the upcoming winter '06 issue due out November 1 either on your newsstand or by calling the above number.

 -

PH Editor Paul Wait contacted me a couple weeks ago and told me this was the best looking and most information-packed issue of PH, and for that matter any calling-related magazine he'd ever seen. And, boy was he right! Here's a taste of what it has...

"A Coyote Motivation" by me!

Randy Buker's "Reds on the Prairie"

"5 W's of Howling" by Dave Hastings

"Night Follies" by Dave Kaprocki

Ted Stotler's "Working the Wind" plus several more you'll have to buy to see, but I will tell you about one by
the Beastmaster himself, Gerry Blair, with "Calling Over Carrion". Got your attention?

That's just part of the offering. Additionally, there's part 2 of this year's gear guide, covering electronic calls, decoys shooting supports and ammunition.

And, of course, there's the traditional T&PC calendar of upcoming calling events and listings of calling organizations.

Readers beg and plead for a magazine that's all calling and no filler like useless endorsements and top heavy with advertising. This is it. Get it while you can!!!

It also has the applications for the Texas Sweepstakes. Win a three day hunt with Byron South on a Texas ranch.
I've already sent in my application.
I wish everyone would fill one out with my name on it and send it in. I would love to win that hunt. [Big Grin]

Do you have to hunt with Byron, or does he just get you in the gate? [Wink]

With all due respect, gentlemen, I posted this as a service to the members who might want to order a copy. BS's picture is but one of many and neither contributes or detracts from the magazine's content or character. I'd rather this thread didn't degress into a bashfest again. Please?

Paul,

No website for this magazine yet. You either pick it up off the newsstand or order it via the t/f number.

I actually picked up a copy on the way home last night, and only thumbed thru it so far. I did suffer a little sticker shock, though. [Eek!]

Unfortunately, Lance. Neither you or I can control what members have on their minds, and what they write. And, we really wouldn't want to, would we? However, I am certainly not encouraging a bashfest.

Good hunting. LB

Lance, Sir, Cdog,
Paul Wait is a friend of mine and I am one of his biggest fans. There are other predator hunting magazines on the market and one in particular, under new management, is improving rapidly and markedly. Objectively I believe they all have their work cut out if they intend to compete with Predator Hunting. Paul has set a new benchmark with that outstanding magazine.
Please define "bashing". I poked a little fun Byron's way. No evil intent. No mean spirit.
Objectively, again, FoxPro is an excellent E-caller and the Dillons have done an incredible job of developing their company.
Byron South obviously knows his Texas ranches and can produce on them. He is an affable sort and good company.
The winner of the sweepstakes will surely come home with a lifetime of memories. Paul, Mike and Byron's involvement will surely guarantee a first class hunt for the lucky winner.

Uh huh...

Well, again, the point of my post was simply to provide the answer to an as yet unasked question that arises every Fall when someone wants to get hold of the new PH magazines. Not to point a finger. Rather, just a friendly request to help keep a thread somewhere near the track it started on. [Smile] Not telling anyone what to think or even how to say it.

Oh, "bashing" is just what it is. Even if you do it with tongue in cheek and a smile on your mouse. In the wake of recent threads, I'm probably not the only one that read things that way. Maybe I'm confused. And Rich, we're friends, You don't have to call me "Sir". "Mr Cdog" will do fine. [Smile]

I'm going to take a WAG in the absence of my SP/Eng dictionary and say,

Seis dolares y, uhhhh, novente y nueve centavos.

Alright, everybody laugh now. [Big Grin] [Eek!] [Big Grin]

Sidenote: I used my Spanish to English translator online and it says "Which hill?" I presumed you were asking "how much?", which would have simply been,"¿Cuánto?". I'm half German, half English. What the heck is wrong with you Loco? And BTW, why don't you ever answer your phone?, or in Spanglish, "¿Por qué usted tiene bragas sobre su cabeza?"

Si!

You guys are mucho el righto. Cuanto means, "How much"

I was asking, "How much does it cost?"
Verb infinitive is costar meaning to cost . costar is an irregular verb and therefore, when conjugated you cannot ask Cuanto costa. The "o" changes to "ue" when conjugated.

Thus, Cuanto cuesta? [Wink]

cuesta arriba means uphill (or slope I suppose) and cuesta abajo means down hill

Now I understand all of the confusion! [Wink]

Dave,

I think that's when you're caught in the back seat with someone else and you're the only one having sex. [Confused]

Ha! very funny Rich.

Danny, now you have me really confussed. I've got this great Michael Buble CD that has the song, "Quanto, Quanto, Quanto" on it. Me being the romantic that I am, I presumed that the female singing that song was asking when, when, when would he tell her he loves her. If I understand what you're saying, he's actually asking "How much? How much? How much?" She sounds awfully nice to be a hooker. [Confused] [Eek!] [Confused]
