Beginning with our first campout, and each one since, Tim has done all of the grocery shopping, arrived a day or two early and set up camp, organized the kitchen, gathered the firewood, cooked the beans and chili.
Each morning he gets up about 4 AM and puts on the coffee, lights the campfire and begins cooking the egg and chorizo breakfast burritos for everyone.
He keeps the beans and chili warm for lunch.
He cooks dinner for everyone and keeps the coffee hot, the tequila ready and the cigars lit. He does all of this with a happy smile and an entertaining story for all of us.
At the end of the campout he cleans up and is the last to leave.
Tim is the one that makes everyone comfortable and fed and when someone offers a little money to help with the costs Tim happily accepts but puts it in his pocket without looking at the amount or even caring.
Tim is the glue that holds the campouts together.
I hope you know how much we all appreciate you, Tim.

Yessuh, and Miss Joyce , be sure and tell Tim to take a look at this topic when he gets home from work. [Wink]

I don't know what trick Rich did, but after hearing Tim tell us about all the questions he gets from his spouse, whenever he applies a little cologne........believe it, if I had some, I would have soaked his bed roll! lol

Good hunting. LB

PS Rich, you are lucky that Toyota pulled the load all the way to the gate!

edit: what a panic! If I was there, after shaking hands and waving good bye and saw Vic leaving, dragging that coyote on a leash, I would have been on the ground gasping for breath, from laughing so hard!

Even though I wasn't there this time, my hat's off to Tim for his unselfish contributions to the camp out. He is generous to a fault. I hope some of you stuck around to help Tim break camp and haul trash out. [Wink]

No problem, I enjoyed doing it and look forward to coming back next year.

Geordie,

That Chorizo probably wasn't the culprit.

Think about those cowboy beans, Jalapeņos and deep fried onions that you ate on Saturday night. That's a mixture that normally takes about fourteen hours to ferment in a man's belly before "Expressing itself to the world"

That's why I fed you that particular meal on Saturday night. About 14 hours before everyone broke camp and headed home. I just wanted to make sure that everyone went home with a little reminder of where they'd been.

Tim A,

I sure didn't mean to stick you with those trash bags, you just happened to be the last one there with room in your truck.

I hope to see you all again next year!

Tim

I hope you all had as good of a time as my husband did. This is the one event he looks forward to all year long. You should have seen him gathering food and supplies. He was like a kid getting ready for Christmas. He had lists and reminders all over the house. And the stories he told us upon his return, it lit up his face. Dean and I couldn't budge from our seats listening to it all. How priceless it is to have a group of guys get together and really enjoy each others company.
Leonard, Tim's huge smile on his face made me wonder if he had sneaked out some cologne and stopped on the way home.
Rich, whatever you did, disappeared before I drove the car. Do enlighten me so we both can enjoy it. [Wink] I did look to see if there were dead animals underneath. You are a rascal and love they way you guys can play like frat boys.
Thanks for posting the pictures. It sure is great to put a face to the names.
