This may not be the crowd to ask, but...
I'm thinking about buying a Makarov when I get some extra folding money (and after I score a new ecaller).
Do any of you own one (or more)?
What type(s) do you own and what do you think of them? What did you pay? Any advice?

The only person I knew that admitted to owning one told me it jambed frequently. I don't have any use for a gun that jambs frequently.
Good hunting. LB

Admitted to owning one? Ashamed he didn't own more or didn't want to admit to shooting cheap ammo maybe?
Makarovs are very popular in the US (very similar design to the Walther PPK) with thousands upon thousands sold here to date.
The Makarov is similar to the Kalishnakov in that it is known for very reliable operation. In fact so reliable the same base design has been manufactured virtually unchanged since the 1950's. [ January 02, 2007, 12:47 AM: Message edited by: The Outdoor Tripp ]
