I heard the same thing recently and understand he had a pretty rough go of it for a while. Our thoughts are with you, too, Tom. Get better fast.

If I understood him right, his Doctors had mixed up his meds, causing his blood pressure to drop and him to pass out from time to time. He was sitting in the ER waiting for another episode when he had a heart attack. They ended up doing a quadruple bypass and he just got out after 5 weeks.

I haven't heard from him in a week, he may be back in the hospital?

Yeah Tim, I also talked to him on the phone about a week ago. He was posting on PM but I have not noticed any post in the last few days? I sure hope he's not back in the hospital. [Frown]

I guess that if you're going to have a heart attack, the best time & place would be while sitting in the ER.

BEST WISHES FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY!!!

Soap-Box alert;
Listen guys.....It's the off season. Not much is going on. Schedule a check up with your Doctor. Could be the difference between haveing a stent put in now (simple procedure) or a bypass later (somewhat more than a simple procedure).
End of rant.

Hi everybody. It's good to be back, in more ways than one. Thanks, LB.

The last 2 months have really given me reason to reassess myself, my priorities, and my life in general.

I'm still weak and have constant pain, but those are things I can deal with. It's the wild fluctuations in heart rate and (like Tim) insufficient oxygen in the blood that I have no control over.

It's killing me to have this much time off from work and not be able to do anything or go anywhere. Hell, not only am I going to miss the Rahaauge's event in Corona, I can't even go to the ATA show in Globe. I had a great time there last year.

The Dr's say that "maybe" they'll give me a part-time release to drive and return to work, in about 3 more weeks. IF the tests (then) come back favorable.

OK, that's the latest and probably the last on this subject. You know I don't like to talk about myself, so you won't be hearing any more whining from me, lol.

Anyway, like I said, it's good to be back and among friends. See you around.

What is "the Rahaauge's event in Corona"?

Are you sure you can't get to Globe? I think That Friendly Rodeo Queen will be there again. Maybe Locohead can drive?

The Oxygen delivery guy was hear yesterday and I got three extra bottles from him just to go to the ATA convention.

You need to hold real still for at least a week and let your breastplate grow back together.

Tim, Rahaague's is the shotgun range (Club) where the "Predator Expo" is being held in a few weeks, with Blair, Higgins, and Les Johnson as speakers. Before I lived in Elsinore I lived in Corona. That's going to be some shindig out there. I can't get to Globe because I have a standing order at the hospital for blood tests every other day.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. As soon as I am able to get around I'm going to make a point of visiting everyone I can. I can't afford to take the chance and put things off any more. I'm going to make the last quarter count.

You mean Nahuatl's big shindig? I sure was wanting to go to that too. But I'm not supposed to drive either, and when I asked Joyce if she'd be interested in driving all night to CA after the ATA convention, so we could go to a Predator Calling Expo, she gave me a real dirty look and told me I was pushing my luck to make it to Globe. [Eek!]

I wish these two events could have been scheduled a couple of weekends apart, they both sound like a great time!

Hey NASA,

Think of it this way. With you sick and unable to get out, all of those little varmints that you would have shot, are busy screwing each other.

You'd better get to the reloading bench, you are going to be over run with little moving targets by next summer!

[Wink] Tim, if you're willing to share that O2 bottle with me, I might be able to make it down around Sept. Then again, this CO air is kinda thin as it is, so maybe I'll be OK at sea level.

I'm being easy on myself (more so than ever before) just to make sure I'm in condition for Fall season. And I'm walking. Plus tredmill and stepper. No upper body yet. Heck, I've lost 30 lbs since I went in. I do NOT plan on getting it back, lol! I'll never be in good enough shape to keep up with Q, but he's half my age anyway. [Big Grin]

NASA,
When you finally make it to the weight room, shy away from heavy bench presses. I was up to over 200 pounds on the Smith machine until Doc told me I was gonna break those wires in my chest. [Cool]

Tom,

Hold out until October and we can get together at the campout in Northern Arizona.

I've lost 30 Pounds too. And I can't seem to get them back. I've had to start wearing suspenders as I don't have enough ass for a belt to catch on and my pants keep falling off. [Eek!]
