Guilty as charged. Putting this on several sites. But hey, he's my Dad.
The local new station is doing a 50 cities segment. They throw a sticky ball at a map and go to that spot to interview the locals. They happened to hit the spot where my Dad lives. They did the interview Tuesday and aired it today. Here is the segment featuring my Dad. He was born in the house he lives in still today. Since 1940, he has only lived in one other place. That was during his stint with the 101st Airborne.
Click on the link, then on the KTBS featured Videos titled Norton Corners. That is my Dad.

I loved his comments about visitors and neighbors!

Yeah guys, that is him. He doesn't mince words, has a dry sense of humor, and not a pretentious bone in his body. He will give the shirt off his back to a total stranger but rip the shirt off the back of his best friend if that friend betrays him.

That's pretty cool, Randy.
Yes, I liked the crime prevention, too! Based on that, Nevada must be the safest state in the Union.
Hey, do you let him think that he can still whup your butt?
Good hunting. LB

If he told me today to assume the position, I would bend over and hear that belt go "flap, flap, flap" as it cleared the loops.

So how many belts did your dad wear out on you Randy? From some of the stories you told me at the hunt, I'm guessing a few
