My mistake. That should read "Historical Significance".

Good shot, Higgins.

For those that don't know what the hell is taking place, that first shot is the judge's scoring table for the Arizona Trappers convention calling contest. That's me on the right and Vic Carlson is next to me and Gerald Stewart is next to him. Seated across the table is the King Hell Dictator, John Henry, whom I have not seen since 1999, due to a little disagreement about suitable coyote calibers.

There is enough of Dan showing, that it isn't really necessary to rat him out.

Well, I had a good time meeting friends, old and new. Tyler Higgins took third place in the contest which was a shocker, as was his dad not placing???? My grandson, Robbie took second in the Youth Division, using my calls. He had never called before! Rich gave him 30 minutes of instruction in the parking lot. Look out for him, next year!

Good hunting. LB

edit: Dennis, he's a big guy, not standing on a chair, but I will be 66 next month and have been shrinking for several years. Tom Cruise is another short guy, and the chicks all go for him, too.

What, thats it? No drama? Given the cast of characters and their past differances, and y'all just sat down and had a nice little chat, catching up on old times?

It was good to see everyone there!

But poor ol' Lenbo was so excited to finally get to sit down and visit with his hero, that he came back and started a new 17 Forum, in his Honor. It's just a shame that only he and John-Henry are allowed to post on it!

Glad to hear that all of the Ladies at the Home have given up on "Tall Dark and Handsome" in favor of "Short, Pale and Wrinkled" It must be akin to hitting the Lottery for you and Cronk! [Big Grin]

So Leonard,

What flavor was the kool-aid John Henry gave you?

Leonard, Don't take it the wrong way.

You actually do have some similar facial features as my dad. It wasn't meant to be a jab.

Look at it like this. I am a total babe magnet so that makes it a compliment [Big Grin]

From the 17 forum.....

"If somebody doesn't make me an offer on my crummy guns, I'm just going to sell them for scrap iron."

Scrap iron is pretty good money right now! I have a feeling you will be money ahead!

"OK, Guys we need a picture of all the happy judges! Come on everyone SMILE!"

I could barely keep from laughing when I snapped that picture.

It was fun to meet Leonard, Vic, and the rest of the crew. Dan Carey kept asking me to help him hook up with some of the burly trapper women at the event. I told him, Dude, I can only do so much...

Maybe he'll chime in and tell us if he went home empty handed or not. [Smile]

I could only wish I had the good looks, and time to chase one of them.

On another note, it was a gathering worth going to, I always have a good time there.

I just got a card from Southwest Fur Harvesters about their rondezvous on Sept 20. Another good time in the making.
