First off, sorry if I'm jumping the gun here! I tried looking on VHA's website to check dates for this year's contest. Does anyone know if a firm date has been set yet for Mr. Coyote 2012???
And how bout a roll call while we're at it
Pretty sure I'll be taggin' along with KJ again, if all goes well. And sure hope that Randy, Geordie & their Missouri entourage will be in attendance?
Tim, what say you?
Dave (bearhunter), can we twist your arm? Maybe carpool with ol' Timmy???
How bout you, Jimzy?
And...Leonard??? Surely Pierre, SD remains on your bucket list?
It really was a good time, all around. So, the more, the merrier, I say!!!

I am a little confused about that contest. I understand that there is no coyote hunting or coyote calling involved, am I wrong?

Rich, calling is the first part of the competition. Immediately after your calling sequence, you transition right into the shooting stages.
HERE's a linky to the rules breakdown

I have not heard of any dates, I know some of the shoots have been cancelled.
Jeff should be on here at some point and time to clear it up etc so you all can get your travel times set!!

I don't know? Last time I tried to fly into SD, the plane turned around and I spent the night on the floor, A Concourse. The weather is brutal, and unpredictable. Walls Drug is kool.
Good hunting. LB

LB, Call here, and ask for a B1(b) to pick you up.They won't turn around because of bad weather-or anything else.Plus they are close to Wall Drug and 5 cent cups of coffee. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ellsworth_Air_Force_Base

That won't happen again. I drove to Kansas with the professor one time. It is seldom, (scratch that/never have) I felt more nervous with somebody else driving. His reactions are so odd I was constantly slamming my foot on the brake and correcting my imaginary steering wheel. And, he still thinks I owe him gas money? Whatever?
I could drive/car pool with just about anybody, not him. I'm sure to be retaliated, that's who he is.
Good hunting. LB
