-3 yesterday morning with a high of 25*
So far this morning -2
Major snow coming. Every place around is suppose to get hammered. They are saying less than a inch for us here in the valley. Go down the road to the south about 35 or so miles and they are suppose to get hammered. We'll see what happens after it's all over.

We really need the snow. Our snow pack is hurting. 8,000 feet really doesn't have any snow to speak of. A lot of bare ridges so good drifts though to get through.

This is all caused by sand storms in northern Africa sweeping across the Atlantic. Stay away!

Beautiful beyond words. [Smile]

A couple of inches? Of snow? How much is that in terms of actual precipitation? Not much rain, I don't think?

I don't get it, ko ko? We in The Land of the Fruits and the Nuts, have been experiencing rain all season, I'm getting damned sick of it! Today the sun is out but it rained all day, yesterday.

Just terrible! The Horror! The Horror!

You lucky fella! Maybe if you loosened you SPAM filter, you might get another inch or so? What'a ya got to lose?

Good hunting. El Bee

Yeah, thanks for that, but it's a thumbnail and I can hardly make out the beast in the middle swinging a golf club. Along with everything else that doesn't make sense, suddenly there is hardly any place to host photos unless maybe Facebook, which I promised the Almighty that I would never join. So, this presents a dilemma almost of Biblical proportions.

What to do. I fret! Or is it freet? Tricky question.

Good hunting. El Bee

edit: can somebody offer the rule of thumb? How many inches of snow equal a fraction of an inch of rain? And, this is important, my daughter texts me last night and says: "I hear that Upland got some snow today!" How did I miss that?

Roughly, give or take, depending on conditions, .... powder / sleet, etc.
Figure 12 inches of snow equals 1 inch of rain.

Not to worry; when the Black Helicopters that are coming for you land, they'll blow all of that snow away.

All parts of Idaho is getting snow except here. Haven't seen a drop. [Big Grin]
Got the tractor running and put the snow blade back on the 4 wheeler. Guess that was the kiss of death.
It's even warmed up. [Big Grin]

Yes, no question. Black Suburbans spell official government personnel. I think it's illegal for the civilian population to own one. Black helicopters? Only one place I see them; on the border.

At one of the campouts near Picacho peak I was hunting down the road close to camp on my Atv had just shot a coyote and ventured a little further down the road close to a storage facility for old
Air craft I could only hear wispier and above me was a big black helicopter in silent mode they watched me for a minute saw the dead coyote on the front of the wheeler and left, pretty spooky ! oh and the first coyote of the hunt that year !
