GOT YA!
what distresses me this evening is the item on the news. A lion has killed at least two people in Orange County.
The whole bankrupt concept of protecting lions in California is disgraceful! They should be hunted by sport hunters until we get them under control. They have NEVER been "endangered" anywhere outside of possibly Florida?
We have too many emotional freaks that put animal rights on a higher plane than human life. It's time to end the stupidity of the mountain lion moratorium, and let the Department of Fish and Game manage wildlife!
Good hunting. LB

Lions killing leftists is not really a bad thing. It's what they wanted.
A few years down the road we will have more lions and fewer leftists. Hunting lions will be legal again, and there will be lots of them.
Looks like a win-win situation to me.

What Jack said. What's the problem?
Be it cougars, trapping, deer management, timber management... anything and everything that has to do with natural resource, there is no longer any objectivity or common sense. The techniques, knowledge, and data are there to support sound management measures, yet emotion and rhetoric from special interests prevail. It'll have to get much worse before it turn around. It'll have to become "their" problem, and "their" solution before it finds favor on a wide scale. How much of California has to burn and how many homes and livesmust be lost before they are willing to see the merits of sustained use and regulated harvest? It's so tragic to see these reports when you know, for a fact, that it's all totally avoidable.
