The Gathering was quite impressive, relaxing, educational, wet, fun, humorous and historical.

Tim worked his butt off and even though we weren’t anywhere near the Palapagos Inndeeun Resurvasion, he is deserving of some kind of medicine man award for making the gathering what it was… Terrific!
I discovered that Tequila is the drink of the Devil. Purely evil stuff. Luckily Jack Daniels came to the rescue. At least I think he did.

I was surprised to see that Anna “the Slut” was in attendance. She has a tattoo of a heart with the words “Byron Forever” inscribed inside. Almost brought a tear to the eye. Everytime I turned around, she was rubbing up next to someone. I did manage to secretly take a few photos of her and some of the new friends she made.

At one point at several of us were surrounding the tailgate of my truck and up walks Gerry Blair. Gerry takes my S&W model 65 4"HB out of the holster on my hip, holds it upsidedown in his hand and points it at a can 30 yards away. Gerry then turns to me and asks if he is holding the gun right. I turn my head and see the bottom of the Mustang grip pointed straight up and tell Gerry that if he can hit that can out there that I’d give him a dollar. In less than a second after I said that, the gun goes off and the can is center-punched. In a daze, I just reach for my wallet, pull a dollar out and hand it to Gerry. Lots of “WOWs” and “Unbelievable” then laughter because Gerry GOT ME AGAIN. The man has a knack for suckering me.

I managed to get some video of lousy shotgun shooting and great rifle shooting on the same running coyote. Tom, I’ll work on the video this week.

Understanding the coyote is not as important as knowing where they are.
I usually let the fur prime up before I leave 'em lay.

Glenn and I really enjoyed the hunt. Thanks for putting up with us. It nice to put the names to the faces.

The coyote is a living, breathing allegory of Want. He is always hungry. He is always poor, out of luck and friendless. The meanest creatures despise him and even the flea would desert him for a velocipede.

Well, it is a simple answer........"Old Age". I have to use something to keep my head warm in a sleeping bag. Besides, I would look funny wearing my Stetson to bed. [Big Grin]

Out of all the pictures, you had to use that one of me thanks Jay. You do remember we had a camera on you for along part of those nights right? Maybe even some film of the tent that kept getting away after you had a few. lol
