Just registered. Had to, you folks have too many good posts going on to ignore. I've been reading here for a couple weeks off and on, durned good stuff. Tales of horrific hunts, wonderful days afield, and flying foxes inside fast Fords. Well, Ford rhymed anyway. LOL Don't think I'll have much to add seeing how most of you seem WAAAAAAY above me in experience. That's a good thing. Anyway, just wanted to Hi and thanks I hope I don't toot on your stand. Loren Ha, edited already! Is that a bad sign? [ December 23, 2004, 09:10 PM: Message edited by: Doggitter ]

Welcome to the New Huntmasters, doggitter. Glad to have you on board.
Yeah, I guess we got some that can spin a yarn. Some of them are even the truth.
(from Marin) Good hunting. LB

Merry Christmas indeed folks. Hope your's were all great days. And thanks for the welcomes.
I had a real bang-up day. A couple of weeks ago I had an extra check come back from work and nailed a CZ .17 Rem. with it. First sub .224 for me, and the first new gun in about 15 years. :>) Makes a guy smile a bit. So, this morn. wifey hands a long skinny box "Holy crap, the .338 I've been wanting??!!". Nope box is way light and rattles easy. Hmm. .17 cleaning rod? Open it and it's a Western Ranger lever gun. Must be a super featherweight, about 6 ounces. All plastic from the dollar store. "Look honey, I bought you another gun." Ha ha ha In a Ruger box. Got me. Daughter comes out of her room with the All-Weather 77 .338 that has been on the rack in town since 2&1/2 years ago. $400 new. I can honestly say I won't be hunting for another gun for some time now. I'm gonna have to start trading something for scopes, down by 3 now.
