If the "yote" hunters are ever to become Coyote Hunters, this stuff really needs to be put to rest for a while.
I'm afraid that we are all losing credability with the new people, and if we do that, how will they ever learn, and if they don't learn, how will the sport ever grow, or even survive?
What one man does or doesn't do should not dictate what everyone else does.
Just my opinion.

THO, I think LB said it pretty well. GG wanted to b famous. Hes getting exposure now, more than ever. That coupled with the fact he started the whole thing with his call for a witch hunt.
I took a peek just now. I see one of the super mods deleted some posts. Did someones ego get bruised?
Rich also made a good point that I missed. Ohiobob called someone a retard and radd4 didnt get fired up about that. I guess it all matters on whos doing the talking?
Pretty pathetic.

I don't disagree with Leonard. Or any of you. I hold you all in the highest regard. Even if your Bio is not as full as some others, the fact that you are accepted by this group says much about anyone.
Most of the people on this site are mature, a bit older and wiser. They can smell BS because they have been around the block a time or two.
A lot of the people on other sites are younger. What they lack in knowledge and skill they make up for in enthusiasm. They are looking for hero's. It would be something if they found them here instead of other places. The way things are going though, no one is going to win. It's bad for all of us.
If we can't get along with the other boards, at least let's not stir the pot anymore. You guys have proven that you are the best of the best when it comes to predator hunting. None of you have to convince anyone of that fact.
What we are lacking however, is a little restraint. I am as guilty as anyone. But it's time to just let it be and move on don't you think? If for no other reason than you all are better than them. There isn't anything else to prove.

for some on here, 3 to be exact, make that 4 because leonard is taking some now. it's not about proving anything. we know where they stand because they had their manhood questioned by several members from "there". a certain person was leeching for them and got what he wanted. so they have all the right in the world to be pissed and i, for one, wouldn't let by- gone's be by- gone's for a while. the rest of us are just dog- piling because it's fun. i'm having a good time with it just because i'm an a- hole. i don't have a beef with anyone really. i'm just the guy that jumps in a bar fight, throws a punch, and then runs out the door.
Mr. Wagoner did some research and it seems the topic of the day puts up good eastern numbers in a south western state. And that's between 6 or more people. i for one don't think he should get near as much attention as he shovel's on himself. The statue at the top of the page deserves more air time than the macho man.

Your right THO. I have no bio to speak of. I call for fun. Dont even have to shoot to have a successful hunt. Im pretty much fascinated by these animals and have a blast just calling and watching. There was a time when I had to kill what I called or trapped. To make a house and truck payment, not to mention eat. But now its more fun to me to just see them respond. And I enjoy taking people that have never witnessed a coyote or fox coming to a call and seeing their reactions. Thats what its about for me. I have never entered a contest (although that is subject to change if I can get JD to commit this winter). They dont have contests around here. Matter of fact, I can count everyone I know that calls in this area and still have fingers left on one hand.
At the same time, I dont ask for or command any attention or fame. Im not too sure that I havent accomplished as much or more than some that do command it, but thats ok too. I dont care. As for hangin with the guys that do have bios, Im grateful. I have been lucky enough to be accepted in a couple of circles of people that have way more creditials and know way more about this stuff than I do. I cant thank them enough. I dont pretend to know more than I do about animals, guns or anything else. Pretty much what you see is what you get. I do learn alot from hangin with these guys though.
As for newbies getting dogpiled, I dont really see that. The only newbies I ever see getting dogpiled, (this goes back to another post), are the ones that show up for help and then, instead of listening to those that try and help, try to pawn off whatever hairbrained idea they had to begin with as fact instead of taking the advice and listening some more and trying to build on it.
I have been accused, more than once, of dogpiling. I guess maybe I do sometimes. More out of boredom and entertainment than anything else. But, I dont think I have ever said anything that wasnt true, unless it was in jest. May not have as much tact or use as pretty of words as some, so it comes off more harsh sometimes.
As for the whole thing with GG, as far as Im concerned anyway, has been a double edged sword, so to speak. He really did get under my skin by his actions against some of the guys here. Its escalated to others that have come to his rescue. For them, I could care less. On the other hand, alot has been tongue in cheek and having some fun with it, for me anyway.
I really dont care what Doggin Coyotes, or Basil or anyone else thinks about me. Its not gonna change my world one way or another.

Al, i'm sure you noticed that he dropped a name in response to your offer of an olive branch. what are the odds? should give you a peek into his intentions. also, he seems to be trying to extinguish fires by posting pics of his family. who's gonna bust a guy's balls when he's got a passel of brats around him?

My ire is not with him, but with his minions.
They just want something to fight about, and a hero to rally round.
Real men stand on their own two feet, and while it's always nice to have some one to lean on, real men don't take advantage of it.
If this keeps up, we are just pouring fuel on the fire.
Perhaps we just have to accept them for what and who they are and move on. When they do respond or grow the balls to speak up on their own, just consider the source.

Yes Rich, the 6 post there were all possative.

But over 326 people looked at that thread.
But since there wasn't anything to argue about, nothing to defend, no hero to stick up for, it wasn't worth responding too.
No one wants a truce. They want a fight where they wont get hurt. Hard to get a bloody nose behind a keyboard, easy to be the tough guy though.
It's not about a group hug. You want to go around being angry and keeping this thing going, that's up to you. It isn't getting anything accomplished though. I think we all have to agrea on that. Time to get back to you guys talkng about calling coyotes so I can pick up some more pointers. Vacations over. Get back to work.
