There are going to be so many interesting men at this campout, including Major and Gerry, writers taking notes including Gerry, men with cameras including Gerry (Gerry is looking for photo ops for the new book update.) A writer from Predator Extreme and the predator editor from Kings Outdoor will also be there.. We will all have the opportunity to spend great, funny, interesting and positive time with a bunch of knowledgeable callers with long experience. I'm going to spend my time picking brains, relaxing and enjoying the company of like minds. This is going to be fun and memorable and all are welcome. Some will stay in camp and socialize and some will be pounding the coyotes. All will be in camp enjoying the campfire in the evenings. The petty bickering that occurs on the boards doesn't make it to the campfire. Just good food, a few cigars, a couple of beers, good companionship and lots of laughs. Some hit the sack early and some have to stay up and make sure the sun rises properly. There is no schedule other than the ones each of us make with another. I hope you can join us and make some memories of your own.

I'd like to see an impromptu calling seminar at the campout. Not the kind that is regularly presented at Cabellas, Sportsmans, or BassPro. Every one of those are geared towards the beginner caller. Well, I was a "beginner" 54 years ago.
99% of us going to be at the campout have been at this for quite a few years. Do we know it "all"? Do we have something to share? Some different twists on old tricks? How about frank discussions on the benefits of howling?
I'd like us to give ourselves a "Calling Seminar for the Experienced Caller". What do you think? Can you teach an old dog new tricks? Let's find out. ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif) [ October 02, 2006, 01:10 PM: Message edited by: NASA ]

Rich, I am really looking forward to the campout. I am riding out with Cajn Randy. I really would like the chance to meet and hunt with you and others that I feel I could learn tons from. I wish some others including Q and Cal were also attending. Getting to know alot of you in person is another reason I am attending. I lurk here and read alot, but am not very talented in communicating through this medium, so I keep my mouth shut and read. Along the lines of what Nasa said, I feel the whole campout will be some kind of impromptu calling seminar.
Oh yeah, the cajn shrimp and cold beer in the desert is a pretty good draw also!

CrossJ,
Where in Oklahoma are you from? I can't make the campout but maybe we can get together for a hunt sometime.

Lets not forget that Friday night shrimp feast!
I've heard rumors that NASA has challenged Locohead to the title of smokedancer of the year, that should be a fun competition.
Not to mention listening to Leonard and Rich bicker like two old women over who gets to snuggle with Anna Each night. While all the while Vic will coyly sit on the sidelines needling them both on.
Speaking of Vic, word is out that Kee Kee and Andy are training for a farting contest, But if Vic enters, put your money on him!
Not to mention a couple of coolers full of ice and beer, and a few boxes of some damned fine cigars.

Tim, actually the Smokedancer challenged me to a wrestling match, lol. I told him OK, but he has to promise to keep his hands out of my jockstrap, though. I get all weak and goofy when they do that. But if I can get a half pint of Patron and 3 Corona backs to stay down, I think I can kick his ass. Whatcha' think?

I think that Corona's are nothing more than an expensive joke that the Mexican's like to play on the Gringos. But I've two bottles of El Presidente here to help you win the title!
Do you think it's OK to talk about the two life sized blow up dolls that Tyler scored, in the image of Cdog911 and Kokopelli? Or should we just wait and post the pictures later?

Brad, I am in Craig county. I hunt most of the northern area along the Ks. line. I had some big places to hunt down around Henryetta too, but most of them have sold. What part of the state are you from?

Tim, speaking of fun stuff, are you going to make those wonderful Atomic Buffalo Turds again this year? Are you going to keep another pot of those great beans simmering all weekend again? If so who is going to keep the rookies that eat them away from the campfire?

Smothered, three day old coyote is guaranteed to overpower bean farts. Did it really gag you old farts last year when I ran over that ripe one, as I was leaving? I sure hope so, ha ha ha.
