seventy degrees today. Spent my week of vacation calling in shirt sleeves and sweating my butt off. Actually called one coyote that checked up at about 300 yards and just sat down, panting like he was dying. Then, with deer season starting tomorrow, winter decides to show up. It never fails. Only a fool would be out in the countryside tomorrow morning while the orange army is out in full force. Yet, those guys are going to see cold weather to start their hunt.
I threw stakes on the grill at 5:50 tonight and went into the house. Stepped out to flip them five minutes later and the wind had shifted. Another five minutes and the temps and already dropped about ten degrees. Before morning, temps are supposed to be below freezing and keep falling throughout the day tomorrow with snow by afternoon. Maybe we'll get enough to let me hunt under this growing moon. (Hopeful)
Oh, only 9 to go.

It's about 40 right now and a north wind of about 25 mph. I'd like some of that snow, but we're drier than Tripp's sense of humor right now. (Ooooooooo, burn!)
