Yes I watched him get his head kicked off and his foot put on backwards! Wow! He got an ouchy, eh?
Okay he got broken off a piece. I started to have second thoughts about the fight after finding out exactly who he was fighting and learning a bit more about Gonzaga. Cro-Cop matches up badly against Jiu-jitsu and ground and pounders. There's always a possibility of losing but to lose like that is nuts. He lost to Gonzaga with a GD high kick. Irony? I really don't like strikers for the most part. I like a well rounded fighter that takes people down and makes them quit, say uncle. Most of the stand up crap bores the hell out of me, like Werdum v. Arlovski, as a case in point. For some reason Cro-cop is one of the only kickboxer/ strikers that I like.
I had flashes of the Rashad Evans high kick to Shawn Salmon's dome. I think that the shin to the head Cro-cop took last night was better than any that he, himself has ever landed. Here's where I go Democrat National Committee on you. I don't recall making any outright predictions on the fight like Sanchez v Koscheck or my prediction of Charles Liddell getting beat by Rampage. I will take this one on the kisser and accept that quote as an implication of a win. I was wrong and I hate that. Eeek! That was bad. Shave the 'goat' Filipovic! No implication of a win, smithers. I assumed you would be watching because you listed name and date. I enjoy the UFC fights because they are full of surprises. I like Hughs, St. Pierre, Couture, Ortiz, Griffin. See what I mean?

There are no fighters that I actually dislike. There are one's that I find way more entertaining to watch than others. I like the unpredictable nature of the fights as well. I think they do a good job of mixing up and matching different disciplines against one another. Hughes, St. Pierre, Couture, Ortiz are all guys that I like to watch fight. Griffin is not.

Coming from the part of the country that I do the last place you wont to be is on the ground. Because as soon as you get there the guys six buddies are going to kick the shit out of you.
My hunting partners Son just got back from the Gracie compound in Brazil. He is really great at that Brazilian stuff.
At my age I am a strong supporter of the S & W, and Colt school.
