When I got home from work today, I found a message from Tripp telling me he was at the K-State - texas game, telling me I still had 35 minutes to make a wager on the game. LOL LOL

Of course, by then, it was already halftime and K-State was winning.

I called him and now he won't answer his phone. [Frown] I left him a wager offer. If K-State wins, he has to change his sig line here to "Every man a Wildcat!!!" for the month of October.

If texas wins, I'll change my sig line to "Hook 'em Horns."

AT the end of three, it's 34-21, 'Cats. I expect him to call me this evening so we can ensure he gets all the words spelled right.

WILDCAT

What a game.

Good luck to Texas the rest of the season. I hope McCoy isn't hurt. That was a helluva game and, to quote a national broadcaster I listened to this week previewing the weekend's games,

"Kansas State is better than most people think."

Now, about you Nebraska guys...

Congratulations to the Wildcats. They fought a good fight and came out on top. We lost to a better opponent today and I must say the Wildcats traveled well and the fans were a good lot to be around.

However... my good friend Lance has left a few details out when he describes our "wager."

My phone call to Lance was made at 1:58 pm, 32 minutes before the game started. Unfortunately, Lance didn't call me back making the "wager" until 4:27 pm, or nearly 2 hours after the game had started.

So, really there is no wager, but I'll offer Lance hearty congrats on a good game and readily admit my beloved Longhorns were out-played today by the better team.

So...

"Every man a Wildcat!" and "Hook 'Em Horns!"

Tripp

P.S. Lance, I'll give you a shout tomorrow so you can rub it in... if you don't call me first. [Smile]

Won't answer my phone??? You called with 90,000 of my good friends sitting around me yelling "Oh Shit!"

How would you expect me to hear a phone?

Just 'cause I know folks from Kansas don't have much to live for...

Wanna bet? How 'bout Nebraska, Colorado and KU?

It was a great game.... for us. Not so much for the Texas crowd. The Big XII South took some bad hits today, between us beating you and Colorado upsetting OU. Your QB took some serious hits today, too. I'll give him that. Unfortunate to hear the hometown crowd boo-ing their boys.

As I posted before, I honestly thought we'd lose today. The odds makers were saying TX by 15-1/2. I was betting more like ten, but favoring UT to win. Probably the most common response I got from the Wildcat faithful when asked their thoughts going into today was, "I just hope we show up."

Next weekend we could easily be so bad that we couldn't win on a bye week. But, we're playing our in-state rivals, K-Who. At home. Who have beat us the last two years. All hell is fixin' to break loose.

TH,

I'll be gone or tied up most of the day Sunday. If I don't call you to crow first, call me around evening dinner time. The wife is used to that. [Wink]
