Hey Richard!
I got your email, I guess we really do need to talk more than ever... you really didn't understand what I was telling you at the KC Expo after all.
The powers that be at PM had the fix in already. I had hopes things could change and that's why I finally said OK to becoming a mod there. I thought I could help change things. Maybe now with more knowledge than most I can...
I don't have bad feelings toward Jim Champion or the guys at FnF, I can count on both hands how many times I've even been to that site to read. Even so, I still consider most of those guys friends and that includes you! I tried to talk to Jim at the expo but he just walked away.
I felt PM still had a chance at that time but it has gone too far to return now. PM as a group isn't a bad thing, the people in control is...
4949shooter, maybe I have missed your point... seems some think we are arguing the same point anyway. If you want to see evidence why don't you ask Redfrog on the open board over there? You could even do it in a private email. See what kind of answers you get, then I'll send you conversations from the backroom and you can decide for yourself!
What happened in the early days at PM is nothing like what is happening now... wait and see. PM is about to launch a two tier system of membership. Paid and free. Either you pay to be a privileged member or you do the "read only" of limited postings. You will get a card with your name on it good for 10% off at the PM general store and rights to attend the annual hunt at a reduced fee(great enough to pay the way for all mods and administrators/directors) and there will be a new salaried director running the place. Care to guess who that will be?
Richard you make a pointed statement about the new place the "Followers" have landed. I'm one that put my money up(as membership like others) in the hopes it would be a good place. Ask the powers over there what I've said to them regarding what they need to do and which direction to take to be a success. I'm not 100% in agreement with the current direction there but I'm willing to give it a chance to work. I'm not bashful about speaking my mind even to them.
I'm also not in any way part of their organization other than my membership and if that becomes a cash cow money machine I will be one of the first to step up and shout it down.

Not too much will bring me out of the woodwork to post over here. I always seem to get into trouble when I do.
But... I've been there and done that when it comes to PM so I believe I have something to say.
Bottom line is that PM is headed up by a thief and a liar. Redfrog is no friend to anyone other than Redfrog.
The membership over there has no clue as to what goes on. They are looking for a place to make friends and shoot the breeze about predator hunting. It's still a good place for that. If you don't get involved in their hunt, their politics or their backroom bs, there's nothing wrong with it.
The membership here at Huntmasters and the membership over at FnF tend to be more in the know about what it's like at PM. That's why they don't go over there any more. But, for the average joe looking for a place to BS predator hunting, it's still a good place.
Each board has it's issues. I've seen perfectly good folks here get pounced on something fierce simply because they really don't know much about predator hunting. That's not right.
FnF is a close knit group that tends to be a bit suspicious of folks who aren't in their inner circle.
Coyote Gods... Well. What can I say? HA HA.
At least until the powers that be read this post, I am still a member at PM although I haven't posted there since the NPHA came on board. PM is still a good place to sign up for free and shoot the shit about predator hunting. It's a social thing. But, I'd never give a dime to Redfrog and his group. EVER. He already stole $2,000 from me.
I'm going to sign back off and won't reply back so don't ask questions. Lots of people here know the story so if you have questions, they can answer.
I'll likely be drawn back in sometime in 2010. Maybe someone will bash the .17rem and I'll be forced to sign back in.

Randy had a hunt scheduled with Redfrog up in Canadaland many years ago. Something happened and Randy had to cancel. Redfrog refused to refund any of the deposit back to Randy. There's a lot more details and I don't have all of them so that's all I can say. Maybe someone else remembers.
Edit: I just found a little more info on this one...
"Seems Redfrog was reported to the Alberta Professional Outfitters Society and they put a letter of reprimand in his file for two years. He no longer is able to guide in Alberta."

I am not sure how he spent ole Randy’s money but I think the story I got from my cousin is pretty close to correct.

I know this to be true and for them to reprimand him tells us who was right in at least the eyes of the law.

I'll have to ask a question about "ownership". 49 you said it was privately owned but do you know how redfrog came into power? Jim Champion used to be the owner along with Randy Black, redfrog and byron south figured out a takeover and pulled it off. There's a post here from about 3 years ago that should be exhibit "B" search for it and see if you think redfrog still needs to be blindly backed.
The internet forums is just a bunch of screen names until you actualy meet some of them and form friendships. When you see those friends get dumped on, you might try being a friend and helping them instead of turning a blind eye.

Since I got the ax myself,I rarely check over there lately.So I guess I'm not up to "snuff" on recent activities..

Yes, that's always puzzled me. Who, in their right mind would hand over the keys to a dink like Redfrog? It had to have been a Nancy Pilosi moment. Completely unqualified, totally inept, a drinking problem, doesn't bathe regularly, and did I mention; he's certainly no authority on hunting predators, his major qualifications being advice on not eating yellow snow. How did this guy grab the reins of power? Oh well, who gives a shit?

Although it's no surprise at all, I've been banned from PM following that post I made here. Darn it. I was hoping to get voted back into administration there.
So, not only is Renaud a crook and a liar but he's also watching this board very closely. So, adding to drunk, smelly, crooked and drunk, we can add paranoid to the list.
Shoot, I suppose now he'll threaten to sue me. Hmmm, maybe I can counter sue and get my 2 grand back?

If this is the case, Redfrog is abusing, and has abused, his power at PM and should be tossed out himself. He's not setting a good example for others to follow. If he had the best interest of PM at the forefront, he'd resign without being asked. Pulling the stuff he has is beneath contempt. Sad to say the least. MI VHNTR

I guess they have a TOS written by an idiot that claims anything you say, anywhere is grounds for banning. That's pretty draconian, don't you think?
