So, spineless, biased CBS caved in to black "leader" demands and fired Don Imus. Apparently, it's okay for black rappers to use words like "nigger" and "ho" but there is a double standard in place, and an old white guy cannot get away with it?

Do you agree?

Imus was only being himself, so why fire him now? Hell, he has always been a wierd jackass hasn't he?

Heck, I hadn't even heard of him before this whole incident came to light. Seems though that he crossed the double-standard cops lines, and they are doing a fine job of hangin' him. Funny how Sharpton and Jackson and others haven't said a word about the 3 white boys who have been wrongfully accused of raping a black girl. Seems a whole lot of people ought to be lining up to appoligize to them, but not so much of a word yet!

So much for freedom of speech. Imus has been talking smack for 30 years, la dee freakin da, that`s his job, aint it? I think he knew what he was saying was going to be controversial, that`s what he does, so I guess I don`t have a ton of sympathy for his troubles but it seems to me that the punishment doesn`t fit the crime in this instance, not even close. A slap on the wrist would`ve been about right in my opinion. Jackson & Sharpton ought to take a look in the mirror before they accuse ANYONE of being a racist.

No, I don't know much about the guy and what I do know, I don't like. He's an east coast personality, I guess?

But again, what he said isn't even close to bad enough to get his ass fired, except.....

So, look at the Duke rape case, already mentioned. That prosecutor said a lot of inflammatory things, and now, a year later he might be in trouble, but it's not a slam dunk. Should Shaun Hannity have demanded he be fired the day after he said those things? Would it ever have happened, if he did? In your dreams.

No question, minorities have the upper hand in these situations because those in power have no balls.

Good hunting. LB

Imus has always been an ass, so whats changed.
Where is the outrage for the unfairly accused lacrosse players. where is the white folks race pimp, ie. Sharpton\Jackson.what Imus said in context was probably thought to be "funny" he however put him self in a untenable position by telling Sharpton that it wasnt funny and he was sorry , giving up his only justifiable defense.of course he thought it was funny or he wouldnt have said it.So he not only an ass he's a stupid and illadvised ass.I dont think he should have been fired for his assinine comments,CBS a viacom company makes millions of dollars from the sale of hip hop music artists that use language far more vile and offensive than anything Imus has said. they are taking hippocrosy to new level with thier holier than thou position on this.
frankly I wish all the perpetrators of this ploitical correctness crap would fall of the face of the earth, and common sense could prevail.Do yuor self a favor and ignore the mainstream media they are the enemy within.

I agree with the above post. I am so sick of hearing about this type of topic on TV and stuff.

I tell you, this whole race/immagration thing is gonna kill us as a country!!

I was watching a TV show and there was a family saying that they want payback for slavery and what the whites have done to them. How long ago was slavery?? The same family said that Katrina was used by the whites as a weapon of Mass. destruction! I almost puked when I heard that. The dad of the family was telling the young daughter that the people that are in charge of them are white and Hate blacks.

This is the ignorance that is gonna hurt them, they are doing it to themselves!

But as stated, it is ok for them to rap and talk about shootin a bitch in the face because thats how REAL ni@@ers roll!

Yes, I also agree with the above post, no sympathy for Imus, except on a higher level, it is this PC shit, and makes me want to puke.

Besides that, my understanding is that it was blacks capturing and selling other blacks to whoever had money, and the practice was quite common, back in those days? Most of those slaves went to Brazil and the Caribbean islands, not to America. But to hear this revisionist bullshit, you would think white Americans invented slavery? And, rather than whips and chains, it seems like the masters were often sharing their bed with the help? [Smile]

What I know is that the decendants are far better off, now than had they stayed in Africa, regardless of the motives and the civil rights problems that blacks endured. But what else can we do? Sometimes you cannot win. They don't need to show gratitude and kiss our feet, but I personally think this is getting out of hand!

What we did was the only time in the history of mankind where we emancipated a people, even the jews had no help in escaping Egypt. But, do we get any credit for making things right? No!

And, guess what? OJ did it! Guess what else? Kobe did it! I never saw anybody look more guilty.

Good hunting. LB

A radio station in the poconos fired its longtime morning DJ on wednesday for holding an on-air contest in which listners were encouraged to say "nappy-headed ho"the slur that got talk show host Don Imus fired.Gary Smith,of the"Gary in the morning"show on WSBG-FM in stroudsburg, was fired after station management reviewed a tape of tuesday's broadcast, said Rick Musselman, executive vice president of station owner Nassau Broadcasting Partners L.P. Smith told listeners to call WSBG and say "I'm a nappy headed ho" for tuesday's "Phrase that Pays"contest,Musselman said.
Musselman said that Smith was fired and not suspended because he uttered the slur in a premeditated manner,'with full knowledge of the reaction to Don Imus'use of the same exact phrase.

Seems to me that for being 'Christians', the REV. Sharpton & the REV. Jackson are about as forgiving as a Muslim terrorist.

Imus is an ass and was wrong. He apologized. Sharpton & Jackson are nothing but hypocrites.

" Sharpton & Jackson are nothing but hypocrites."

Which is why Sharpton or Jackson wouldn't last long over here.

It`s all a bunch of racist bullshit perpetrated by the good reverends.

Here`s what I can`t help but wonder.....when in the hell did it become a national news item for someone to speak there mind, I`m sure Imus was just trying to be funny but what if he really thinks that they are a bunch of nappy headed ho`s, hell for all I know they ARE a bunch of nappy headed ho`s, big ******* deal! Is it against the law for the man to be a racist or make questionable comments, maybe his boss has the option of firing him if he crosses the line but the media & the rest of the world has NO ******* business getting all up in this guys shit because he did what he was hired to do. It`s all a bunch of racist bullshit perpetrated by the 2 biggest racist in the world.

How much longer do we need to wait before Sharpton & Jackson make an official public apology to the Three white Duke Students who were falsely accused of rape?

I was wondering the same thing Tim.

The last time I heard anything from J. Jackson he was trying to hang those kids. I'm sure we won't ever hear an apology from him either. Sharpton and Jackson are nothing but a couple of ambulance chasers.

I read that when the three white boys from Duke were accused last year, 62 professors at Duke University signed a petition to have the boys kicked out of school.
