A man walks into the street and manages to hail a taxi just as it was going by.

He gets into the taxi, and the cabbie says, "Perfect timing. You're just like Frank."

Passenger: "Who?"

Cabbie: "Frank Feldman. He's a guy who did everything right all the time. Like me coming along when you needed a cab, things like that happened to Frank Feldman every single time."

Passenger: "There are always a few clouds over everybody."

Cabbie: "Not Frank Feldman. He was a terrific athlete. He could have won the Grand-Slam at tennis. He could golf with the pros. He sang like an Opera baritone and danced like a Broadway star, and you should have heard him play the piano. He was an amazing guy."

Passenger: "Sounds like he was something really special."

Cabbie: "There's more... He had a memory like a computer. Could remember everybody's birthday. He knew all about wine, which foods to order and which fork to eat them with. He could fix anything. Not like me. I change a fuse and the whole darn street blacks out. But Frank Feldman, he could do everything right."

Passenger. "Wow, some guy then."

Cabbie: "He always knew the quickest way to go in traffic and avoid traffic jams. Not like me, I always seem to get stuck in them. But Frank, he never made a mistake and he really knew how to treat a woman and make her feel good. He would never answer her back even if she was in the wrong; and his clothing was always immaculate, shoes highly polished too - he was the perfect man . He never made a mistake. No one could ever measure up to Frank Feldman."

Passenger: "An amazing fellow. How did you meet him?"

Cabbie: "Well, I never actually met Frank. I just married his friggin' widow."

As a recent widow, I'm debating, should I hold the late Frank's widow as a role model? [Razz] Any advice or suggestions will be welcomed! [Smile] [Big Grin]

In some respects, I suppose you could. Bruce was a pretty spectacular guy, and left an indelible mark on the predator hunting community. He set the standard for all predator boards, and wasn't afraid to go toe-to-toe with the anti's. It will take a real man to fill those shoes.

Hey Chris.

I have the same problem. Women seem intimidated in knowing my wife was such a Saint.

Glad to hear from you. Hope things are fine with you.... and don't be a stranger.

Hope you sell the truck.

Good hunting. LB

Thank you for the kind words about Bruce. He did have big feet -- size 13 -- so I guess his shoes will be hard to fill! [Big Grin] Of course, anyone who knew Bruce knows he was no Frank Feldman! I used to tease him that my boyfriend, Allan (B's middle name) was perfect so, maybe there was some Frank in him! [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

You were lucky to have Nancy. Was she really a Frank?? Perhaps you should go to Plan B. [Big Grin]

I'm doing okay. As I'm sure you know, it's normally not the days that are the hardest but moments.

I've had a few fellas interested in the truck and, I may have it sold. I'll keep you posted. One of the best offers was from a guy who's always wanted a truck just like Bruce's but can't afford one. However, he's supposedly a handyman and offered to trade any work I may need done around the house for the truck. After thinking about it I told him he could come do all the housework (dusting, vacuuming, scrubbing floors, etc.) and, for some reason, I've not heard back from him! [Confused] Perhaps he figured out I'm not an idiot! [Big Grin]

NASA,

He was also a quite knowledgeable welder and one hell of a good cook.

There have been a least a dozen times in the last few months where I desperately wished that I could just pick up the phone and say "Hey Bruce, how the hell do I ....?"

Chris, You need to find your way down here some Sunday afternoon. I'm having less and less screw ups with Cyclops. I took a side of spareribs in to work one day last week, they didn't last but just a few minutes, everyone said I should have brought 2-3 more sides! I keep having to work more and more overtime, so that I can keep buying more and more food to try out in it! Joyce had a lot of doubts about my sanity for wanting to buy it from you, but now tells me that it is one of the best investments that I have ever made!

Since it took me a minute to figure out, I figured others wouldn't know what he was talking about, either?

Good hunting. LB

She was a Jewel, I can say without fear of contradiction.

Tim,
I will come down some Sunday very soon. It's been a while since I was in ****** and, Bruce was driving so, I obviously wasn't paying attention! I'll need directions from the Dragoon exit. You cook, I'll bring dessert and Bruce's cookbooks.

Krusty,
I know Nancy was a great person -- we hit it off the first time we met. Obviously, my attempt to be funny to Leonard's response about women being turned off by Nancy's sainthood back-fired!

Leonard,
Your response confused me -- assume you were referring to the handyman! Could I be having a blonde moment? [Smile]

Chris
