As heated as this topic is regarding the war in Afganistan I have to say I find humor in this story title...

"Karzai embraces U.S. pullout"

I had to stare at that ☞ "Karzai embraces U.S. pullout" for a minute before I was able to relate to a very sick mind.

Pull out... Another 9 months of us would kill him. And then paying for the next 18 yrs. I'm all for early withdrawal, even if it leaves us a bit limp.

Here's one from New York... the legislature is voting on a gay marriage proposal(pun intended)!

"Deputy Majority Leader Thomas Libous of Binghamton, who opposes gay marriage, said that after hours of passionate debate behind closed doors he still doesn't know if there are enough votes to pass the bill."

Better go back in... and try harder!(again, puns intended!)

Widestancer; I would have bet a considerable sum that if anybody here tweeted, it would be our Keyboard Commando. How many "friends" do you have on facebook? And, how many are gay? Oops oxymoron.

One of my cousins is a lesbian.

Hot damn, now they can get divorced, too! That'll learn 'em.

I'm absolutely not gay, maybe a little lesbian, but what if...

Let's say two bachelors with decent incomes or one with a good job and health benefits and the other retired were to share a house or condo building. Let's say they get married, share expenses and split taxes. Hell, they could even have live-in female lovers and according to these new laws gain substantial tax breaks and entitlements. Best friends for life!!!

What I'm suggesting is if a homosexual couple can marry then so can a heterosexual couple. Think about it... it's just a piece of paper and legal contract, nothing more or less if children and reproduction aren't involved.

This world is getting crazier by the minute!
